MLB best bet: Milwaukee Brewers vs Athletics Under 14.5 (+100)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -110.
This is likely the highest total that we'll see in an MLB game all season long, and it's not without reason. After all, this game is being played in the A's new Las Vegas Stadium, and it proved to be an absolute launching bad for hitters in the season opener. We saw a whopping 29 total runs in Monday's series opener, but Tuesday's game was considerably calmer — with just 12 total runs scored in an Athletics victory. With that in mind, this number still feels like a reaction to Monday's game, even with some questionable starting pitching in the mix. A's starter Jack Perkins' numbers don't look pretty on paper, but he's due for a bit of positive regression given his underlying metrics. On the other side, Brewers starter Brandon Sproat typically doesn't pitch longer than 4 or 5 innings, and he's backed by a Milwaukee bullpen that is among the best in the National League. All things considered, I'll take the plus-money on the Under 14.5 in this game.

MLB best bet: Atlanta Braves F5 run line -0.5 over Chicago White Sox (-102)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -110.
Despite the fact that they weren't expected to have much success this season, the White Sox have proven to be one of the more interesting teams in the American League. Chicago is currently in the playoffs if the season ended today, and the White Sox are just a half-game out of the division lead in the AL Central. Unfortunately, they'll be going up against Chris Sale and the Braves, who still hold the best record in baseball through 67 games played. Sale has been excellent in his age 37 season, posting a 2.23 ERA while striking out nearly 30% of opposing hitters through 12 starts. He'll be going up against a White Sox lineup that is noticeably without Munetaka Murakami in the middle of the order, which makes keeping down this offense a much easier task. Sale has surrendered 1 or fewer runs in 8 of his 12 starts on the season, so let's look for the veteran ace to keep on dealing as we back the Braves to lead after the first 5 innings in this one.
