The Athletics vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 05/08/26

The Athletics travel to Baltimore this weekend for a series against the Orioles. After dropping the series at home against Cleveland, the A’s have been on the road for a couple series now, dropping 2 games to Philly to start the road trip. Yesterday, though, they exploded for 12 runs to win the series finale. As for the Orioles, they snapped their 5-game losing streak with 2 wins in 3 games in Miami. Both teams continue to boast strong offenses with bad pitching, and that will probably be the story this weekend. I don’t have really strong feelings about this game, but I am going to lean toward the Orioles on the money line here.

The pitching matchup is Jacob Lopez vs. Kyle Bradish, and both guys had terrible outings in their last turn. We could get another meltdown from either one, as both have had season-long struggles with control and hard contact. Of the two, Bradish has a higher ceiling, but it is anyone’s guess whether either of them settle down tonight. On the offensive side, the Orioles have been hitting much better of late, mostly as their lineup has started to get healthier than it was to open the season. I am going to lean on the O’s to hit better tonight.
