Both right-handed arms have had a shaky outing within the last week, with Ragans surrendering 8 ER in his last 10.1 IP and Woo getting cracked for 7 ER in a 3.0 innings last time out. Both pitchers are capable of shutting down a lineup and have solid stuff, but things are finally starting to turn around for the KC and Seattle offenses — 2 units that have floated near the bottom of league rankings for the majority of offensive categories this season.

Over the last 14 days, both Seattle and Kansas City sit top 8 in wRC+, wOBA and BA offensively. Kansas City’s bullpen has been one of the worst units in baseball, holding a 5.33 combined ERA. Seattle’s unit, on the other hand, has produced significantly better results — although the Mariners have used seven different BP arms in the last 2 games, with 3 of them appearing each time. Especially with a low total set, I’ll back a pair of much-improved offenses and take the over in this spot.
