Los Angeles Angels vs Kansas City Royals Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 04/24/26

The Los Angeles Angels and Kansas City Royals aren’t exactly going to have a pitching showdown in the first game of their 3-game weekend series. The Angels will send Yusei Kikuchi to the mound, while the Royals plan to counter with Noah Cameron. Neither starter has been particularly good this season, while both teams can take advantage of poor pitching.

Kikuchi had a horrid start to April, and his numbers would be much worse if it weren’t for a 6-inning scoreless outing in his last start against the San Diego Padres. Before that game, he allowed 13 earned runs over 13.2 innings in his first 3 starts of the month. Considering we’ve seen much more of the bad version of Kikuchi than the one we saw in his last start against the Padres, I’d lean toward the Royals having some good at-bats on Friday.

Cameron doesn’t have the benefit of a good start to build on, as he allowed 5 earned runs in back-to-back starts against the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox. The Angels’ offense continues to run through Mike Trout, but they have enough bats behind him to contribute to an over in this matchup.
