Game Totals Pick
Over 9.0(-120)

The Miami Marlins and Washington Nationals continue a series on Tuesday from the nation’s capital. The Marlins took Monday’s game, 7-3. It was a nice bounce-back win after being swept by the Mets over the weekend. The Nats got a good start from Cade Cavalli, and then the bullpen fell apart, as is the common story for Washington this season. That vulnerable bullpen is one of the primary reasons that I am looking at the game total over 9 on Tuesday.

On the mound, the Nats will start Miles Mikolas. Mikolas is a guy I love to fade, but he has been strangely competent this season, for the most part. For the Marlins, this will be some form of a bullpen game, filling in the spot in the rotation vacated by the injured Eury Perez. Miami’s bullpen has been a strength this year, but that is mostly when we are talking about the late innings and the higher leverage arms. I expect Tuesday to be a day where both lineups have the advantage, and I especially love the Nationals’ young lineup and their ability to rake. Do you know they are the highest scoring offense in baseball right now? I love that. Let’s back these offenses on Tuesday.
