Blue Jays vs Diamondbacks Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
ARI Diamondbacks Win(-135)

The Toronto Blue Jays head west this weekend to face the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Blue Jays have struggled to start the season. In fact, after opening the season with a sweep of the A’s, they have lost every series since then. The Diamondbacks have been away from home for a bit, but they won 2 of 3 from the Mets, Phillies and Orioles. The D-Backs certainly come into this game playing better baseball, and I look for that to continue in Friday’s matchup. Give me Arizona on the money line.

Eric Lauer takes the hill for the Jays. The 30-year-old lefty has struggled this season, and he was rocked by the Twins for 7 runs in his last start. The D-Backs are notorious lefty killers, especially with several key switch-hitters like Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo. On the year, the Snakes are top 5 in both batting average and slugging vs LHP. On the other side, Mike Soroka takes the ball. Soroka seems to have reinvented himself in Arizona, although I am not yet convinced it is sustainable. Still, the way he is pitching, he gives Arizona the better chance in this game. I’ll ride with Los Serpientes on Friday.

Blue Jays vs Diamondbacks prediction: Arizona ML (-135) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
