Both the Knicks and Celtics wish they could have a do-over on their season openers, as they lost their respective games to the 76ers and Pistons. These two Eastern Conference rivals meet up in what should be a thrilling encounter on Friday night at TD Garden.

A total of 24 teams are in action this evening, with an Amazon Prime Video doubleheader coming our way. Tip-off for Knicks vs Celtics is at 7:00 PM ET, followed by a massive clash out West with Rockets vs Spurs at 9:30 PM ET. We’ll cover every single game with our NBA picks tonight, but for now, let’s zone in on my Knicks vs Celtics Same Game Parlay at +512 odds. I cashed my 76ers vs Knicks SGP at +336 odds on Opening Night, so let's have ourselves another New York winner!

Knicks vs Celtics SGP Pick: Paul George to Score 15+ Points (-230)

Paul George had a dream start to his Celtics career in the opener, at least from an individual standpoint, as he went off for 38 points on 57% shooting, including seven threes made. Despite the high productivity from him, his team failed to capitalize and collapsed late to a motivated Pistons team. I’m interested to see how George follows up that performance, this time around in front of the home fans at TD Garden.

One knock on PG13 over the years has been the fact that after such high-output games, he would usually have a more laid-back approach in the next one. Because of this, I’m proceeding with caution and backing him to score only 15 points, which sounds very achievable for a player of his stature.

His average reads 19.8 ppg on 45% efficiency from the field and almost 41% from three in the last 10 meetings with the Knicks. Over his last 20 games overall, he’s failed to clear this line just 4 times, which comes out to a confidence-boosting 80% success rate. New York also ranks 10th for points allowed against opposing small forwards, so this looks the perfect starting point for our Knicks vs Celtics Same Game Parlay.

Knicks vs Celtics SGP Pick: Payton Pritchard 3+ Made Threes (+102)

Pritchard had a pretty decent season opener performance with 17 points and 4 rebounds in the loss to Detroit. The 28 minutes he logged were the most out of any Celtics reserve, which goes to show how valuable he will be for head coach Joe Mazzulla this season. Jaylen Brown’s departure in the offseason has rallied the troops in the Celtics camp, with players like Derrick White, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser all stepping up their game, especially on nights where Jayson Tatum doesn’t have it going.

I feel like Pritchard will have a slightly easier time getting open looks against the Knicks than he had against Detroit, as New York wasn’t exactly an elite team defending the perimeter during the regular season in 2025-26.

Over the last 10 meetings, Pritchard is averaging 13.2 ppg against New York, on 2.4 makes per game from three. The most recent meeting between the two teams saw him go off for 23 points and 3 threes made, and a performance like that would go a long way for Boston. Anfernee Simons was able to connect on 3 threes against the Knicks on opening night, and I think Pritchard can do so as well in tonight’s matchup.

Knicks vs Celtics SGP Pick: Andre Drummond to Record 8+ Rebounds (+126)

If the first game of the season is any indicator, Andre Drummond might have a substantial role on this Knicks roster. In just 24 minutes of play, he really asserted himself on the glass, collecting 14 rebounds total, plus he also contributed on the offensive end by scoring 12 points. Towards the end of the game, he cooled off a bit, but the Knicks will need him to step up on the defensive end in order to bounce back from that defeat on opening night.

If we count games from the preseason as well, Drummond has now cleared this line three times in four outings, which is really impressive considering his high minutes total in those four games is just 24 on opening night. Friday sees him match up with former Knick Mitchell Robinson, whose production he is supposed to replace this year. It’ll be an interesting matchup down low for sure, especially after we saw Robinson struggle in his debut against the Pistons. The 59 rebounds the Celtics allowed in that game rank them in the bottom 10 of opponent rebounds per game right now.
