NBA Player Props Today: November 6 Best Bets & Picks, featuring Jayson Tatum and Zion Williamson
NBA Cup action is on the table for Friday night after just a two-game slate on Thursday. Nine games are on the docket for today, headlined by an Amazon Prime Video doubleheader featuring 76ers vs Cavaliers and Trail Blazers vs Lakers. Below are my best NBA player prop bets for Friday, November 6. You can also get our expert NBA picks for all nine games, as well as every matchup throughout the 2026-27 NBA season.
Best NBA Player Prop Bet: Jayson Tatum (BOS) Over 6.5 Assists in Celtics vs Hornets (-112)
Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing. Playable to -125
Jayson Tatum sat out the last game against the Bucks, which was labeled as rest, likely a precaution to be able to go tonight in this NBA Cup battle against the Hornets on the road. We're targeting Tatum from an assists perspective, as he's posted 7+ assists in six of seven games to start the year, with his lone miss coming in a blowout win over the Bulls, where Tatum played just 23 minutes.
Payton Pritchard comes into Friday night listed as questionable, as his usage rate sits just below 20%. Without Pritchard, we could see Tatum lead lineups without Derrick White and Paul George, giving Tatum the keys to a likely lineup with shooters around him. Charles Lee, head Coach of the Hornets and former assistant of the Celtics, could get weird with some coverages on Tatum, so we're going to stick with assists to open the slate.

Best NBA Player Prop Bet: Zion Williamson (NOP) Under 19.5 Points in Timberwolves vs Pelicans (-115)
Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing. Playable to -125 on DraftKings.
Big slates like tonight can be overwhelming, so we're going to stick with the top two plays that stood out to me. Zion Williamson is slowly turning the narrative on himself. He's played in all eight games for the Pelicans, averaging 33 minutes per game. But coming off back-to-back overtime wins and four straight victories, I'm fading the former #1 overall pick against the Timberwolves tonight.
The Pelicans likely return Trey Murphy III to the lineup after sitting out the last game, so usage will be split between the core of Williamson, Murphy, Dejounte Murray and Jeremiah Fears. Though Williamson surpassed this line in both overtime games, it took the overtime period for Williamson to cash in on 20+ points. He scored four points in the OT period in the last game against the Jazz, and nine points in OT against the Grizzlies after entering the period with 16 points.
