New York Knicks vs Chicago Bulls Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/31/25

Back-to-back defeats to Miami and Milwaukee has brought the mood down a bit in New York, as the Knicks no longer lead the Eastern Conference. At just 2-2, they look to return over the .500 mark against the still-undefeated Chicago Bulls on Friday. The biggest issue the Knicks have had so far is their shot selection. The team is shooting just 40.6% from the field, which is the 3rd-lowest mark in the league. On paper, they are going up against the 3rd-best defense in the league, but we have to realize the Bulls have had a relatively soft schedule so far. I wouldn’t put too much weight on those numbers. Jalen Brunson has been on a heater in recent meetings, as he’s put up 40+ twice in the last 5 games vs Chicago.

It is truly remarkable how the Bulls have gone 4-0 to start the year without their best scorer from last season, Coby White. Josh Giddey has led a balanced attack with 6 players averaging double figures scoring wise. Nikola Vucevic has turned back the clock and averages a double-double, while Matas Buzelis is justifying his Most Improved Player candidacy averaging 16.8 points per game. On top of all that, the Bulls have by far the best perimeter defense, allowing just 7 3s made per game. All of those numbers are impressive, but like I said earlier, they were achieved against Detroit, Orlando, Atlanta and Sacramento – which aren’t exactly top-tier NBA teams.

Friday’s game ends a mini 3-game road trip for New York, and there’s no way they’ll return home without a win. This will be a first of 2 meetings between the Bulls and Knicks in the next 2 days, and while it might be an unpopular pick, I am going with the Knicks to win and cover at the United Center.
