Corbin Burnes (Brewers) under 2.5 earned runs (-125)

Available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

After a dominant stint in July when Corbin Burnes had a 1.85 ERA, he slipped in August and wasn’t sharp in his only start in September to date. But, the bounce-back is going to be just as sweet. We banked on Zac Gallen on Friday to pitch a gem and he did just that. I expect the same from Burnes today.

The Yankees have been brutal this season. Even with bringing up multiple prospects, they can’t seem to find the barrel against RHP. In the last two weeks, they’re hitting a league-low .209 and a bottom-5 K% during that span. This is a spot where Burnes can lift the Brewers to a series sweep and continue to take charge in the NL Central.

Burnes earned-run prop is one that struck me. His hits-allowed prop is set a 4.5 and his outs line is 17.5 with juice on the over. He’s fresh off allowing 4 earned runs against the Pittsburgh Pirates, who he has faced multiple times this season. He’s never faced the New York Yankees in his career, which includes having almost no history against this lineup. That bodes extremely well for Burnes.

Burnes’ ERA is much better on the road this season and has held batters to a batting average below .200. He has stayed under this line in 6 of his last 8 road games, which includes his stint in July when he was the best pitcher in the game.
