Celtics vs Cavaliers best bet: Celtics +1 (-106)
Jayson Tatum showed very little rust in his first game back, as the Celtics are now a true force in the East with him in the line-up. Cleveland may still be without Donovan Mitchell. If that’s the case, it will be tough to overcome the Celtics here — despite playing at home.

Knicks vs Lakers best bet: Luka Doncic Over 29.5 Points (-122)
Luka’s last 6 games vs the Knicks read 30, 32, 39, 60, 30 and 31 points. That gives him an average of 37 points per game against them, so it makes a lot of sense to back him for another 30-point performance on Sunday. His usage rate is quite high lately, as he’s taken 22 or more shots from the field — at least 10 from three-point range — in 3 straight games.
We have a pick on the spread in our Knicks vs Lakers prediction
Mavericks vs Raptors best bet: Mavericks +10 (-110)
Dallas dominated the first meeting by 10 points back in October. Although the Mavs are on a 6-game losing streak, they can put up a solid fight here. Toronto is just 16-16 SU in home games this season and could be without Brandon Ingram, who is its leading scorer. Cooper Flagg is day-to-day, but he should be able to go here.
Pistons vs Heat best bet: Heat +1.5 (-112)
Detroit just suffered an inexcusable loss to the Brooklyn Nets, although it was playing without Cade Cunningham. He is once again listed as doubtful here, which is not a good sign against a Miami Heat team that’s on a 4-game win streak. Miami has covered in 5 of 7 home games, plus they have the rest advantage given that Detroit just played last night.
Wizards vs Pelicans best bet: Wizards +9 (-106)
Things should improve for the Wizards in the coming weeks given Trae Young’s decision to return to action. The Pelicans have covered only once in 8 games against East opponents coming into this one.
Rockets vs Spurs best bet: Spurs -5 (-112)
It’s hard to overlook what the Spurs are doing. They’ve won 14 of 15 games and just had a historic comeback in the win over the Clippers. Houston’s lack of a true point guard is starting to show, as they’ve exchanged wins and losses in their last 5 games.

Magic vs Bucks best bet: Bucks +3.5 (-108)
Both teams are on a back-to-back here, but I give a slight edge to Milwaukee. Giannis returning makes them a formidable opponent, while history is on the side of the Bucks, who have won 16 of 20 meetings and 10 of the last 11 at home.
Pacers vs Trail Blazers best bet: Over 236.5 (-110)
Both teams are struggling with injuries, but that hasn’t affected their scoring much. The over has cashed 11 times in 15 games for Portland and 6 times in 7 games for the Pacers. I’ll back the points in this one.
Bulls vs Kings best bet: Bulls -3 (-108)
With Josh Giddey back, the Bulls finally have their point guard. We just saw them beat a strong Phoenix Suns team on the road, surely they can do the same against the tanking Kings? Sacramento is all over the place right now, as they’ve lost 3 in a row.
Hornets vs Suns best bet: Suns +4.5 (-110)
Given their recent resurgence, the Hornets might look like the better team on paper, but games aren’t won on paper in the NBA. Devin Booker and co. are one of the more reliable bets in home games this season, and they’ve dominated this match-up over the years — winning 8 of the last 9 meetings. I have them adding to that on Sunday.
