Last night’s NBA mega parlay fell just one leg short, but as Jamal Crawford likes to say “new day, new opportunity”. We get 6 more NBA games to wager on this Friday and I’ve settled for one team to cover and for two teams on the money line. Be sure to check out our NBA picks for tonight’s matchups, but for now, let’s dive into today’s NBA mega parlay at +793 odds.

Nuggets -4.5 (-110)

Hawks ML (+100)

Suns ML (+134)

NBA parlay odds: +793

Denver Nuggets -4.5 over Brooklyn Nets (-110)

After a somewhat bumpy opening to December, the defending champs have found their stride once again with 5 wins in the last 6 games as they head into Brooklyn to take on the Nets. These 2 teams played each other about a week ago in Denver, with the Nuggets coming out on top by 23 points. Their three-point defense was the key difference, as Brooklyn managed to hit on just 8 of 30 attempts from downtown, en route to just 101 points. Although they’re just 6-10 ATS in road games for the season, the Nuggets have covered in 5 of their last 7 away from home, plus they’re 4-1 ATS/SU in the last 5 meetings with the Nets.

Over the last 4 games, the Nets have really struggled on defense as they’ve allowed 120+ points to the Knicks, Jazz, Warriors and Nuggets. Denver is the “easy” pick here. Brooklyn has dropped 5 of 6, with 3 of their last 4 defeats being by double-digits. Something is clearly off with their defense and until that improves I’m not ready to back them, even if the spread is at 4.5 points here. Roll with Nikola Jokic and Denver.

Atlanta Hawks ML over Miami Heat (+100)

Next up, I am going with the red-hot Trae Young and his Atlanta Hawks to beat the Miami Heat on the road. Over his last 10 games, the diminutive point-guard has been racking up both the points and the assists. He’s averaging 30.8 points and 12.1 assists per game, while also shooting 41.4% from three-point land. Atlanta is on a run of 3 wins in 4 games and they’ve been relatively solid on the road this season at 8-8. South Beach has been a place where Young has struggled in the past, so this is a solid spot for him to make amends.

Miami has been lacking consistency as of late, as they’ve exchanged wins and losses in their last 5 games. Their home form is a concern at just 7-6 SU for the season, and they’ve also covered the spread just once in their last 6 at the Kaseya Center. The biggest worry ahead of tonight’s game will be the absence of Jimmy Butler, who has been ruled out with a calf injury. I think we can all agree that Miami just isn’t the same team without him, and in 5 games that he has missed they’re just 2-3 this season. They’re averaging just 108.6 points per game in those 5 games and to beat the Hawks you need to put up a decent score, so I think the road team has a really solid chance to outscore their division rival.

Phoenix Suns ML over Sacramento Kings (+134)

To close out this NBA mega parlay, I have the Phoenix Suns getting one over on the Sacramento Kings. Although it’s been a tough stretch for Phoenix lately with 3 losses in 4 games, this team is still loaded with talent and can beat anyone on any given night. In their last game, they let a 22-point lead slip away in a loss to the Blazers, with Kevin Durant scoring 40 points and Devin Booker going for 26. The rest of the team failed to show up, so I’m expecting them to bounce back here. They’ve beaten the Kings 4 times in the last 5 meetings at the Golden 1 Center, and after watching Sacramento’s home loss to Boston I feel like the Suns could surprise them here.

After a great opening quarter against the Celtics with 41 points scored, the Kings fell apart defensively the rest of the way and gave up 144 points in total. The bad news for them is that they have to deal with KD and Booker here, a duo that’s averaging 32.2 and 32.8 points per game against them in the last 5 head-to-head. In their last 3 games, opponents are torching Sacramento from three-point land at a 44.4% success rate, and if that continues here it could be another long night for De’Aaron Fox and his Kings. Look for Phoenix to assert themselves early here as they come out with an upset victory.
