Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. With 2023 coming to an end, the NBA brings us 6 games to close out the year. It has been a fantastic year of NBA action and we can only hope 2024 brings us more of the same. Looking at todays games, the highlight would be the contest between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers were millimeters away from sending their game into overtime last night and will look to bounce back against a Pelicans team they destroyed in the in-season tournament.

You can find our NBA previews here for all of Sunday’s action. Let’s get into my last mega NBA parlay of the year below.

ATL Hawks -6.5 (-112)

Over 230 Points in Lakers vs Pelicans (-110)

Over 240 Points in Celtics vs Spurs (-112)

Parlay odds: +584

Atlanta Hawks -6.5 (-112)

The Atlanta Hawks have been better on the road this season than they have been at home. That should help them tonight as they look to end a 4-game losing streak.  They will also be helped by the fact that they are visiting a Washington Wizards team that is just 3-10 at home this season. The hosts could also be without the services of Tyus Jones tonight, who is listed as questionable to play. He currently leads the Wizards in assists per game. Without him in the lineup, the hosts offence could become more isolation centric, with Jordan Poole assuming more ball handling responsibilities. That should play into the Hawks hands here. Look for them to cover the spread.

Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans – Over 230 (-110)

The Lakers put up 133 points the last time these sides met. While the Pelicans only managed 89 in that contest, I expect them to be able to do their part for the over here. The Lakers will be on the second game of a back-to-back and should see a drop off in their defensive effort. With the sides 8th and 12th over the last 10 games in pace, the tempo on tonight’s game should provide both sides with enough possessions to help carry this line over. The Lakers are also vulnerable when it comes to offensive rebounding, ranking 26th this season in opponent second chance points per game. It should allow the likes of Jonas Valanciunas to have a big game tonight and help the Pelicans convert on their misses. Unlike the last meeting between the sides, I expect the hosts to turn up tonight and help carry the over.

Boston Celtics vs San Antonio Spurs – Over 240 (-112)

Over the last 10 games the Celtics offense has been incredibly efficient, ranking 1st in offensive rating and 5th in true shooting percentage. Over the last 6 games, 5 have surpassed the 240-point mark as a result. The game that did not still reached a combined 238 points. They put up over 140 in 2 of those contests. They should have a chance to do something similar here against a Spurs team that gave up 144 to the Mavericks, 130 to the Jazz and 134 to the Trail Blazers, all in their last 4 games. Over the last 10, the hosts have been leading the NBA in pace, so both sides should get enough possessions to put up numbers. Even with the Celtics being a good defensive unit, the Spurs should get enough possessions to put up over 110 points tonight. The Celtics should be able to carry the rest of the line over.
