This weekend in the NHL has 3 consecutive nights of 9-game slates, beginning on Friday. As usual, the action begins at 7:00 pm ET with Eastern Conference games and ends after midnight with West Coast games. This will be a great cap to a great week and a heck of a way to begin the New Year weekend. There are some great games on tap from division rivalries to heavyweight bouts. As a result, I have created a 3-game NHL mega parlay for tonight’s action at +898 odds, which you can read below. You can also check out our NHL predictions for picks on today’s games.

Devils vs Senators Over 7 (-110)

Avalanche -1.5 (+154)

Stars ML and Over 6 (+106)

NHL parlay odds: +898

New Jersey Devils vs Ottawa Senators Over 7 (-110)

This game features an array of offensive stars but not so much on the defense and goaltending side of things. That is usually a good recipe for a high total. The Devils and Senators rank 8th and 7th in the NHL respectively in goals scored per game. New Jersey and Ottawa also rank 29th and 28th respectively in goals allowed per game in the league. That combination of strengths and weaknesses has led to a 21-11-1 over-under record for the Devils, including 9-5-1 on the road. The Senators’ over-under record is 16-11-3 this year, including 10-6-2 at home. The over has been rolling for Ottawa lately and the pure matchup in this game looks to reinforce those trends.

Colorado Avalanche -1.5 over St. Louis Blues (+154)

Both the Avalanche and Blues have been confusing lately. The team with the higher upside is undoubtedly Colorado — there is not really an argument to be had there. In addition, the Avalanche have won 4 of the last 5 games head-to-head. They are also in need of a get-right spot. The Avalanche dropped the first head-to-head matchup 8-2, but responded well with a 4-1 win in the rematch. Colorado has also dropped their last 6 games on the road and has lost some ground in the standings. The Avalanche are the better, more reliable team that should come out with added urgency to get back in the win column.

Dallas Stars ML over Chicago Blackhawks & Over 6 (+106)

There is no question which is the better team in this one. The Stars are tied for the 3rd-best point percentage in the Western Conference while the Blackhawks are near the cellar in the NHL again. The Stars are the better team in good form. They should be able to take care of business just fine in this one.

The over has been hot for both teams lately. The total has gone over in 4 of the Blackhawks’ last 6 games, as well as in 8 of the Stars’ last 10 games. The over has also hit in 11 of the last 13 head-to-head and in the Stars’ last 7 games at home. The over brings solid value to this Same Game Parlay.
