A fantastic week in the NHL is capped off with a 5-game slate on Sunday. The Wild face the Red Wings at 1:00 pm ET in the first game of the day. The Blues then play the Blackhawks at 2:00 pm ET, and then the evening games begin at 5:00 pm ET with the Blue Jackets visiting the Hurricanes. In this holiday week, it has been feast or famine in terms of the number of games each night. This week delivered in a big way, though, and nice 5-game slate is a fitting finish.

This should be a great day of hockey, and you can make it even more intriguing by checking out our NHL mega parlay at +1084 odds below. You can also read our NHL predictions for picks on all of today’s games.

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (-110)

Winnipeg Jets -1.5 (+190)

Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers over 7 (+114)

NHL mega parlay odds: +1084

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (-110)

The Hurricanes have played well lately at a time when they needed to. They have no interest in taking their foot off the gas as they sit 9th in the Eastern Conference but they are only 2 points clear of the team in 13th. This conference is loaded. There are plenty of good teams and nearly a dozen may truly be in contention for a playoff spot.

Even the good teams need to collect every point possible to keep pace. The Hurricanes are the better team against the Blue Jackets today but they will not just coast through the game. They should play to run up the score and comfortably collect 2 points. The Blue Jackets have been tough to watch this year and have an uphill battle on Sunday.

Winnipeg Jets -1.5 (+190)

The Jets have been a bit lost in the shuffle so far this year as all the talk in the Western Conference has revolved around the Golden Knights, Avalanche and Canucks. The Stars are great too, but lurking around all of them are the Jets, who are 12-5-2 and their 26 points are good for 6th in the NHL.

The Jets and Predators have played once before this season with Winnipeg winning comfortably by a score of 6-3. The Jets rank in the top 10 in the NHL in both goals scored and goals allowed per game. The Predators are 9-10-0 with some ugly losses. They have not shown enough consistency to feel comfortable fading the Jets in favor of the Predators. This +190 for a good Jets team puck line is good value.

Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers over 7 (+114)

This Oilers team is difficult to figure out and frustrating for their fans. They had a few solid games under new head coach Kris Knoblauch, then lost 3 games in a row by multiple goals. After a 5-0 win over a good Capitals team, they are looking for even more of a spark. Win or lose, a high score is likely in Oilers games.

Any team with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl always has a chance to score goals. Those guys can reach half the total themselves. The over has hit in 4 of the Oilers’ last 5 games and in 8 of the last 10 head-to-head meetings. These teams both struggle with goal prevention, though, which always gives the over a good look especially with the offensive upside in this game.
