NHL Parlay Picks (1/20)

Vancouver Canucks ML (-120)

Washington Capitals ML (+105)

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+170)

NHL parlay odds: +914

Vancouver Canucks ML (-120)

The Canucks are one of the most — if not the most — complete team in hockey. They have barely had a blip on the radar this season in terms of a slump. The same cannot be said for the Maple Leafs. Twice this season Toronto has dropped 5 of 6 games. The Leafs also just snapped a 4-game losing streak.

The Maple Leafs have looked a little bit lost in aspects of their game. The Canucks, meanwhile, score the most goals in the NHL per game, allow the 2nd-fewest goals per game in the NHL, have won 6 out of their last 7 games and have won 7 out of their last 8 at home.

Washington Capitals ML (+105)

This is the second game of a home-and-home in which the Capitals took the first leg. Washington beat St. Louis on Thursday by a score of 5-2. For the Capitals, it was their 3rd win in their last 4 games and 4th win in their last 6. For the Blues, it was their 3rd straight loss and 4th loss in their last 5.

While the Capitals have not been very impressive this year, they have stayed competitive in a loaded Eastern Conference playoff picture. In this game, they get good plus money value against a team they just beat by 3 goals. The Blues are the epitome of inconsistent and are not remotely a reliable play given their volatility.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+170)

The Oilers have been the hottest team in hockey for the last month; they just won their 12th consecutive game. With that, they are now 23-6-0 since November 11. This team would be a good play against just about any team in hockey right now and the Flames are no exception. Until they cool down, the Oilers are a good team to ride.

The Flames have had a roller-coaster of a season which most recently has been trending up. Despite strong recent form, they are not a reliable play against an elite team like the Oilers. Edmonton is already the better team and is clicking on all cylinders right now. Of Edmonton’s aforementioned last 23 wins, just 8 of those have been by 1 goal. This +170 is good value.
