The past 5 days in the NHL have delivered in a big way. Since Friday, there have been 44 games. The dust settles briefly on Wednesday before going back to another loaded 14-game slate on Thursday. We are in a fun part of the regular season where teams have their legs under them, they are mostly still healthy and fans are treated to a fantastic schedule. This small slate is a nice bridge to the latter part of the week which sets up to be exciting once again. We’ve created a 3-game NHL mega parlay for tonight’s action at +831 odds, which you can read below. You can also read our NHL predictions for picks on all of today’s games.

Canadiens vs Blue Jackets Over 6.5 (-112)

Rangers ML & Under 6.5 (+160)

Capitals vs Kings Under 6 (-112)

NHL mega parlay odds: +831

Montreal Canadiens vs Columbus Blue Jackets Over 6.5 (-112)

The over has hit in 9 of the Blue Jackets’ last 12 games, as well as in 4 out of their last 5 at home. Head to head, the total has also gone over in 6 of the last 9 played between the Canadiens and Blue Jackets. Recent trends give appeal to another over between these teams. Both teams have been volatile lately. Montreal has either scored or allowed 4+ goals in 4 of their last 5 games and in 5 of their last 7. Columbus has scored or allowed 4+ goals in 4 out of their last 6. Those performances do not leave much work for the opponent to do to take the game over the total.

New York Rangers ML over Detroit Red Wings & Under 6.5 (+160)

The Rangers have the best point percentage in the NHL and 6 more points than the Red Wings in the same number of games played. The Red Wings are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games to the Rangers’ 7-2-1. The Rangers have also won 7 out of the last 10 head-to-head. Expect New York to continue their red-hot start to the season.

The under has been rolling between these teams across the past couple of seasons. What has remained consistent is the Rangers’ strong goal prevention. They have allowed the 3rd-fewest goals in the NHL which is a strength that has remained over the last few seasons. There is a thin margin of error in this game and the under has hit in 15 out of the last 19 head-to-head. Roll with the trends in this one.

Washington Capitals vs Los Angeles Kings Under 6 (-112)

The under has hit in 9 of the Capitals’ last 12 games and in 4 out of their last 5 on the road. The total has also gone under in 5 of the Kings’ last 6 games and in 4 of their last 5 at home. Head to head, the under has hit in 5 of the last 7. The combined over-under record of these teams this season is 14-23. While the Kings score the most goals in the NHL, they also allow the fewest. That matches up well against Washington’s goalscoring, which is the 2nd-worst in the NHL. On the defensive side of the puck, the Capitals rank 8th in the league in goals allowed per game. Team strengths, weaknesses and trends give the under good value in this matchup.
