The middle of the week is made a little bit better by a modest but solid slate in the NHL. Of the 5 games, there are 3 that look like they could deliver in a big way. There are 2 games nationally televised on TNT — Bruins vs Devils followed by Sabres vs Avalanche. Ending the night will be Jets vs Kings, which is another heavyweight tilt. Boston vs New Jersey and Winnipeg vs Los Angeles look like the marquee matchups, but we never know what the NHL will give us on any given night.

I have created a 3-game NHL mega parlay for tonight’s action at +910 odds, which you can read below. You can also check out our NHL predictions for picks on today’s games.

Islanders -1.5 (+102)

Avalanche ML & Over 6.5 (+150)

Jets vs Kings Under 6 (+100)

NHL parlay odds: +910

New York Islanders -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (+102)

The Islanders are rolling right now. The Ducks very much are not. Recent form alone is enough to like the Islanders at plus-money odds even with the puck line. It certainly helps also that New York is just plain the better team in this game. Through 27 games, they are in a playoff spot in a competitive division and loaded Eastern Conference.

The Islanders have won 5 of their last 6 games, including impressive wins over the Hurricanes, Panthers, Kings and Maple Leafs. Meanwhile, the Ducks have just 1 win in their last 11 games and are winless in their last 5 on the road. This one should be all Islanders.

Colorado Avalanche ML over Buffalo Sabres & Over 6.5 (+150)

Both teams have been on a bit of a slide but things look a bit better for the Avalanche in this one. Colorado leads the Central Division and is tied for 3rd in the Western Conference. They have won 6 of their last 8 games at home, while Buffalo has won just 3 out of their last 10 games on the road.

The volatility of both of these teams is what looks good for the over to supplement an Avalanche win. Colorado won 6-5 on Monday which was their second consecutive game allowing 5 goals. Buffalo has either scored or allowed 5+ goals in 6 of their last 9 games. The offensive upside in this game looks good for the over.

Winnipeg Jets vs Los Angeles Kings Under 6 (+100)

The under has been prominent in both the Jets and Kings seasons. Even at a total of 6, this +100 is good value. Winnipeg’s over-under record is 1-8-2 in their last 11 games, including 0-4-2 on the road. Los Angeles’ over-under record is 2-8 in their last 10 games, including 0-4 at home. The combined over-under record between these teams is 20-29-3.

Both the Jets and Kings excel in goal prevention, which has been a primary driver behind the low totals in their respective seasons. The Jets have the NHL’s 7th-best goal prevention while the Kings have the league’s best, as well as the 2nd-best penalty kill. Pure matchup and recent trends look good for another under.
