Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA All-Star game is here and it is the most star studded event on the NBA calendar. LeBron James and Kevin Durant have completed the draft which finally pairs Lebron with Giannis Antentokoumpo which may just be the most exciting partnership we have seen at an All-Star game for years. Lets now take a closer look at some of the best player prop plays for tonight’s game.

Bradley Beal over 16.5 points (-114)

The last time Bradley Beal appeared in an All-star game was in 2019 where he had 11 points in 18 minutes off the bench. This time around he will be heading into the game as a starter and the leading scorer in the NBA, which should make him one of the focal points of Team Durant, especially with Kevin Durant not playing. This is by far the lowest line you will get on Beal this season, and with the determination he has been attacking with this season, he should be able to drop 20 tonight.

Luka Doncic under 14.5 points (-104)

Luka Doncic is dealing with a tight lower back so there is a chance his minutes are limited tonight which would affect what he can do whilst he is out on the floor. He had eight points and four assists in the game last year and there is little to suggest he will have a major break out game here. Doncic is not much of a dunker and is a modest 35 percent shooter from deep this season, which does not usually translate to high scoring All-star performances. And with guys like Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the squad with him, look for him to focus on making flashy passing plays instead.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 23.5 points (-112)

Giannis Antetokounmpo does not mess around during these games and should be considered one of the favourites for the MVP trophy, especially now that he is not going up against LeBron James. In the last two years he has had point totals of 25 and 38 and should be able to have 24 or more once again tonight. He has terrific playmakers in the starting line up with him, as Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic and James are outstanding passers of the ball. Look for Giannis to be the main man on the receiving end of their lobs and passes. Joel Embiid looks to be out for Team Durant which should make the paint open for business even more so in this game.

Zach LaVine over 10.5 points (-102)

LaVine is a deadly shooter and a dynamic dunker, something that will help him immensely in this game. He is in the top 10 in the league in points per game and is shooting 43 percent from deep this season, which should allow him to take full advantage of any open looks he gets from there. And considering his dunking prowess, look for Team Durant to feature him when he is in the game to put on a spectacle for us fans. The over looks to be a good bet on this line.
