Chris Kreider over 2.5 shots (-133)

Chris Kreider needs to demand more from himself tonight in Game 2. The 52-goal scorer in the regular season recorded just one shot on goal in the New York Rangers OT loss in Game 1. Against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Round 1, Kreider recorded more than 3 shots on goal in 5 of the 7 games. Whether or not the Rangers are able to bounce back tonight with a win, Kreider will be better tonight and take more chances. After such a low scoring game in the first meeting, it appears goals will be at a premium for this series. The Rangers will need their regular-season goal scorer to take more chances and it will start here tonight. The Hurricanes have had a backup goaltender in the net for the entirety of the playoffs with Antti Raanta. Raanta might be seen as one of the only weak links for the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Rangers will need to expose that with a large sum of shots. Take Kreider to record over 2.5 shots on goal.

Connor McDavid over 0.5 goals (+120)

Despite an incredibly embarrassing loss in Game 1, Connor McDavid looks like a man on a mission these playoffs. He currently has 18 points in just eight playoff games this season, but more importantly for bettors, he has scored in 4 consecutive playoff games leading into tonight. He’s averaged more than 4 shots on goal over his last four games and has averaged 26 minutes of ice time over his last three games. He’s playing the most minutes of anyone on his team, including the defenseman. It’s clear that head coach Jay Woodcroft is relying heavily on his horses and tonight should be no different. The Edmonton Oilers allowed 9 goals in Game 1, but a positive to take away from the game is they also scored 6 goals against a stingy Calgary Flames team. The Flames have weaknesses, and after a 4-point night, McDavid may have found what it takes to beat his provincial rival. Take the best player in the world to record over 0.5 goals tonight for the 5th consecutive game.
