It’s another NFL Sunday, and even though it’s already mid-December we still have a whopping 4 weeks to go in the regular season. Yes, a smorgasbord of football remains thanks to the expanded schedule that is new this year. And there is plenty of action today, headlined by division-rivalry showdowns such as Ravens-Browns, Cowboys-Football Team, Raiders-Chiefs, and Bears-Packers.

Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far on Sunday.

NFL: Green Bay Packers -12.5 over Chicago Bears

One of bettors’ favorite plays of the day is on Green Bay to cover the spread against Chicago. The Packers (-12.5) are being backed by 67 percent of the money and 69 percent of the wagers. There isn’t much value to speak of on a -700 money line, but there is substantial interest on the under in addition to the spread. Under 43 is drawing 74 percent of the handle and 62 percent of the wagers.

NFL: San Francisco 49ers vs Cincinnati Bengals Over 48.5

Bettors always love a good over (contrary to what the aforementioned game would suggest) and they are especially enthused about 49ers-Bengals developing into a shootout. A total of 94 percent of the money and 74 percent of the bets are calling for at least 49 points to be scored in this important contest between playoff contenders.

Pickswise’s play is also on the over. And why not? The last seven San Francisco games are averaging 49.3 points, while the last seven for Cincinnati are producing 54.9. Deebo Samuel is back for the Niners, which will obviously help their offensive outlook.

NFL: Buffalo Bills vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over 54.5

Punters are also hoping that punts are few and far between in the Bills vs Bucs showdown. With 64 percent of the bets supporting Over 54.5 (has moved from its 52.5 opening), 84 percent of the money is doing the same. The public is also liking Tampa Bay a fair amount, as Matt Ryan and company are inspiring 71 percent of the handle on the -3.5 point spread and 70 percent of it on the -185 money line.
