We have a busy Wednesday in the world of sports. The playoffs continue on the NBA hardwood with a pair of crucial Game 5 showdowns and on the NHL ice (Game 2 between the Vegas Golden Knights and Montreal Canadiens). Meanwhile, a full 15-game schedule in Major League Baseball is highlighted by an ESPN showdown between the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox. Let’s take a look at where the betting money has gone so far.

 NBA: Philadelphia 76ers ML over Atlanta Hawks

Per DraftKings, the public is all over the 76ers in their home game against the Hawks on Wednesday night. It could not be much bigger unless it was a Game 7, as the series is tied 2-2 heading back to Philadelphia. A total of 86 percent of the handle and 77 percent of the bets are backing the Sixers to win straight up at -250. This is an interesting one, because bettors are not willing to give 6.5 points. Rather, they putting 64 percent of the money and 70 percent of the wagers on Atlanta to cover the spread.

NBA: Utah Jazz -2.5 over Los Angeles Clippers

As for Game 5 between the Jazz and Clippers, there is not a whole lot of money going in one particular direction. When it comes to the point spread, though, punters are leading toward the home team. Utah at -2.5 is inspiring 66 percent of the money and 62 percent of the bets.

NHL: Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 over Montreal Canadiens

In the lone NHL contest of the night, bettors like the Golden Knights to remain red hot. Vegas won Game 1 at home on Monday via a 4-1 decision, so they can really put the clamps down on Montreal in this semifinal series with another victory on Wednesday. With 88 percent of the money going toward the Golden Knights on the -1.5 puck line, 83 percent of the bets are going in the same direction. As for the -250 money line, 75 percent of the handle and 86 percent of the wagers are picking Vegas to win outright.

MLB: San Francisco Giants -1.5 over Arizona Diamondbacks

On the baseball diamond, bettors’ favorite play of the day is on Giants to win by multiple runs against the Diamondbacks. San Francisco on the -1.5 run line is drawing a bloated 95 percent of the handle and 95 percent of the bets. On the money line, the Giants are -167 favorites. The public certainly isn’t scared away by that juice. A total of 95 percent of the money and 93 percent of the wagers are backing San Francisco to win straight up.

MLB: Cleveland Indians ML over Baltimore Orioles

Bettors are also hammering the Indians in their home date with the Orioles. Cleveland on the -167 money line is getting 94 percent of the money and 93 percent of the wagers. The public is quite willing to give the -1.5 runs too. The Indians are inspiring 86 percent of the handle and 90 percent of the bets to win by multiple runs.
