The Final Four is only one day away, so it’s certainly time to look ahead to those festivities. At the same time, there is plenty of action in the NBA and NHL to be had on Friday. It’s another busy night and weekend in the world of sports, so let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far.

NBA: Detroit Pistons -5 over Oklahoma City Thunder

College basketball rules this month, but don’t forget about the NBA. We have a 10-game slate in the association, including this contest between the Pistons and Thunder. It’s the most intriguing betting opportunity in the mind of the public, which is backing Detroit against a -5 spread to the tune of 82% of the handle and 81% of the wagers. On the -195 money line, the Pistons are bringing in 69% of the handle and 70% of the bets.

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks ML over Los Angeles Clippers

The Bucks are coming off a thrilling win over the Bucks on Thursday and punters expect them to get right back in gear against the Clippers. There isn’t much willingness to back Milwaukee on the -7.5 spread, but the public is happy to incur -305 juice on the money line and back the Bucks for a straight up win. The home team is drawing 94% of the money and 83% of the bets.

NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 over Chicago Blackhawks

One of bettors’ favorite NHL plays is on the Lightning to cover a -1.5 puck line in its home date with Chicago. Tampa Bay is being supported by 98% of the money and 89% of the wagers to win by multiple goals. The public is also more than willing to take a -360 juice hit on the money line, with 96% of the handle and also 95% of the bets needing just a straight up victory by the Bolts to cash.

We are all over Tampa Bay at -1.5, as well, but our favorite NHL bet of the day is on the Golden Knights’ money line against the Kraken.

NHL: New York Rangers ML over New York Islanders

One of the more intriguing matchups on Friday’s schedule is another chapter of the in-state rivalry between the two New York teams – even though the Rangers are rolling into the playoffs and the Islanders are terrible. Unsurprisingly, the public is hammering the Rangers. On a -180 money line they are inspiring 88% of the handle and also 88% of the wagers.

NCAAB: Villanova vs Kansas Over 133

There is nothing bettors love more than a good over bet, and they think they have found one with Saturday’s Final Four showdown between Villanova and Kansas. With the total set at 133, a modest 55% of the wagers but a far more substantial 76% of the handle is hoping for a high-scoring affair.
