The son of Exaggerator has performed well in 3 of his 4 starts since joining the Linda Rice barn. The selection faded late on when finishing two-and-three-quarter-lengths third having tried to make all the running in a claiming contest at this level over a mile here earlier this month. The 4-year-old showed good speed that day and with an easy lead likely and a good draw in four he looks up to registering a second career success.
2:20 pm Aqueduct (Race 4) – Bustin Bay 8/5 (2-star play)
Antonio Arriaga’s charge boasts a good record at this distance, having won 3 of his 6 starts at the trip and he shaped as if a drop in trip would suit when fading into third in a $45,000 allowance optional claimer on a good main track over a mile here a month ago. Gets a drop in grade here and with the booking of Manny Franco a positive the mare looks capable of returning to the winners’ enclosure.
4:26 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – Les Bon Temps 7/5 (2-star play)
A maiden special weight winner on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs when debuting last May the 3-year-old registered her second victory in a mile stakes contest on a fast track here at the end of October. Has joined Linda Rice from the Mike Maker barn since taking out the 7-furlong New York Stallion Series Stakes on a muddy surface here two months ago. She looks up to completing a hat-trick back at a mile.
