Horse Racing picks for Aqueduct race track on Friday, November 17: Stolen Magic on the run

Jockey Leslie Mawing atop Highwaytwentyseven (5) wins the second race of the day as the Tampa Bay Downs

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Friday, including at Aqueduct race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now and we are up +134.15 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Aqueduct race track.

12:20 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 1) – Stolen Magic 5/2 (2-star play)

The son of Good Magic showed plenty of ability when debuting with a neck second in a mile-and-one-sixteenth maiden special weight contest at Saratoga at the start of September. The pick lost out to subsequent Grade 2 winner Agate Road that day and appeared to have no issues with the main track despite fading late on when eight-and-a-half-lengths third in a mile contest here subsequently. The colt drops in trip here and looks up to delivering a victory.

1:18 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 3) – Running Bee 3/1 (2-star play)

Trainer Chad Brown’s colt has been off the track since delivering an impressive five-and-a-quarter-length victory in a mile-and-one-eighth allowance on a good turf course at Keeneland in October last year. The four-year-old appeared to appreciate the switch to front-running tactics on that occasion having previously finished down the field in the Grade 3 Dueling Grounds Derby over a mile-and-five-sixteenths at Kentucky Downs. The pick has a top jockey in Irad Ortiz up and is taken to resume with a win.

2:15 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 5) – Quiet Wisdom 2/1 (2-star play)

A $275,000 yearling purchase at the Keeneland September sale in 2022 the son of Into Mischief has shown ability in finishing on the board in all three previous starts. The most recent of those saw him place second when beaten three-and-a-quarter-lengths on a sloppy main track at this venue just under a month ago. Todd Pletcher’s colt heads here on the back of a 51.65 four furlong work at Belmont Park and is selected to break his maiden here.

2:44 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 6) – Memorialize 5/2 (2-star play)

The daughter of Karakontie showed plenty of promise when second at Colonial Downs on debut in July and she confirmed that promise when finishing strongly to deliver a three length victory in a maiden special weight over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on a good turf track at Saratoga the following month. The filly came fifth in the Grade 2 Miss Grillo over the same trip here subsequently and she is taken to deliver her first stakes success dropping back to a mile.

3:42 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 8) – Poppy Flower 3/1 (2-star play)

The four-year-old showed good form in registering a Grade 3 victory when taking out the Intercontinental Stakes over six furlongs at Belmont Park in June. Successful by a nose on that occasion the daughter of Lea has been off the track since a two-and-a-half-length fourth in the Grade 3 Caress Stakes over five-and-a-half-furlongs at Saratoga in July. Bill Mott’s filly recorded a 48 second four furlong work at Belmont Park recently and is taken to return with a victory.
