1:50 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 2) – Sevier 8/5 (2-star play)
The veteran performer delivered a couple of impressive victories in similar contests at Laurel during the winter including when scoring by six lengths over six furlongs in January. Proved a disappointment when beaten seven-and-a-half-lengths over the same course and distance in an allowance optional claimer subsequently however. Registered a 48.92 four furlong breeze at Parx earlier recently and the switch to a claiming contest is a positive with handler Jamie Ness boasting an impressive 60% strike-rate (3/5) at this meeting.
2:20 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 3) – Timeless Journey 7/5 (2-star play)
The daughter of Verrazano has won two of her three starts since joining the Raymond Handal barn from Christophe Clement. The most recent of those came when scoring by one-and-a-half-lengths over a mile-and-one-eighth in a muddy track allowance optional claimer here in January. The shorter distance here is no issue having and with regular pilot Dylan Davis in the saddle the six-year-old looks capable of improving on her impressive (three wins from four starts) record at this track.
4:56 pm ET Aqueduct (Race 8) – Frigid Lady 4/5 (2-star play)
Victorious in a $150,000 maiden claiming contest over seven furlongs at Keeneland last October and has finished runner-up on two of her three subsequent starts. Second of those efforts came when beaten four-and-a-half-lengths by a subsequent stakes winner in Botanical in a mile allowance optional claimer at Turfway Park in January. Below that form when fifth in a similar contest subsequently the daughter of Frosted looks up to making her first start at this venue a winning one.
