1:05 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 1) – Cumberland Blues 5/2 (2-star play)

The gelding showed solid form for the Orlando Noda barn including when attempting to make all in a similar race to this over a mile-and-one-eighth here at Saratoga at the start of last month. The four-year-old faded into third, beaten three-and-a-half-lengths that day and joined his current connections following that effort. The pick has shown up well in the mornings in recent weeks and looks up to registering his third win in seven starts at this venue.

1:36 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 2) – Talkin Pharoah 9/5 (2-star play)

The three-year-old deliver two wins earlier this year including when making all to take out a $40,000 maiden claimer over six furlongs at Belmont Park in May. The son of American Pharoah duly followed up when ridden with more restraint prior to scoring by three-and-a-quarter-lengths in a starter event at Saratoga. The return to the main track here is in his favour having disappointed on a wet turf track subsequently. Looks up to getting his career back on track.

3:10 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 5) – Bad Larry 5/2 (2-star play)

The son of Collected has finished on the board in two of his five starts to date including when fading late on when beaten four-and-three-quarter-lengths into third in a $20,000 maiden claimer over seven furlongs at Saratoga at the end of last month. The drop in distance here looks likely to suit and with a good draw and Manny Franco in the saddle he looks capable of helping trainer Mike Maker improve on his 27% strike-rate (3/11) at this meeting.

4:17 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 7) – Mursal 5/2 (2-star play)

Now in the care of Rick Dutrow the Classic Empire filly ended her time with her previous trainer with a four length victory in a $25,000 claiming contest at Belmont Park in early June. The selection has shown good form in finishing third and fourth in two starter contests since joining the Dutrow barn including when one-and-a-half-lengths fourth over this trip at Saratoga last month. Taken to register a victory on her first start at this track.

4:49 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 8) – New Ginya 9/5 (2-star play)

The winner of three of her last five starts the four-year-old registered her first stakes victory when coming from off the pace to deliver a three-and-three-quarter-length success in an eight runner contest over a mile-and-three-sixteenths at Saratoga last month. That contest was held on a good turf surface and dropping back slightly in distance the daughter of Tonalist is selected to complete a double having finished on the board in all three previous starts at this venue.
