1:05 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 1) – Maggie 9/5 (2-star play)

The daughter of Central Banker broke her maiden at the eighth attempt when encountering a sloppy track at Saratoga in July. Victorious by a neck in a six-and-a-half-furlong $30,000 maiden claimer the selection tracked the pace on that occasion. The three-year-old was ridden with more restraint upped to a mile at the same venue later that month and dropping back in distance here she is taken to make a winning debut for the James Bentley Begg barn.

2:07 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 3) – Tivy 9/5 (2-star play)

The colt showed good form earlier this year including when placing third in a $75,000 claiming contest over six furlongs at Churchill Downs in May. The three-year-old joined Linda Rice following that effort and delivered his best effort in two starts for the handler when placing second having raced from the front in a five-and-a-half-furlong $35,000 claimer at Saratoga 31st August. The pick joined Jena M Antonucci following that effort and is taken to double his career tally.

3:43 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 6) – La Girvina 9/2 (1-star play)

The three-year-old showed plenty of ability when making her debut in a six furlong maiden special weight at Saratoga last month. Racing on a muddy track the Girvin filly raced in fifth in the early stages of that contest prior to delivering a one-and-a-half-length second. The filly registered a 1:01.44 five furlong breeze at the same venue in her only subsequent timed work and is taken to register her first victory at the second time of asking.

4:17 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 7) – Rotknee 7/2 (2-star play)

The winner of seven of his 12 starts to date the four-year-old complete a double when making all to deliver an impressive four-and-three-quarter-length victory in an allowance optional claimer over six furlongs at Belmont Park in June. The son of Runhappy’s only subsequent start saw him finish a disappointing sixth in a similar contest over the same trip at Saratoga last month. The selection has registered a number of works since and looks up to returning to winning ways.

4:49 pm Belmont at Aqueduct (Race 8) – Tax Implications 7/2 (2-star play)

The British-bred Mehmas filly made the perfect start to her racing career when delivering a wide margin victory in a mile maiden special weight at Monmouth Park in September last year. The pick has placed second in three of her four subsequent starts including in the Grade 3 Lake George Stakes at Saratoga on her penultimate start. The three-year-old came home fourth in the Grade 2 Lake Placid over a mile-and-a-sixteenth subsequently and is selected to record a stakes victory.
