1.10pm Finger Lakes (Race 1) – Curlin’s New Moon 8/5
Switches to a beaten claiming race following a couple of starts in starter optional claiming company at this circuit. Had previously been in good form in claiming company completing a course double when victorious by a neck in a claimer over a mile-and-seventy-yards here at the start of June. Comes into this race on the back of a solid 50.10 four furlong breeze here and can take the opening race on the card under Kevin Navarro.
1.39pm Finger Lakes (Race 2) – JP’s Song 6/5
A dual winner from seven career starts to date the four-year-old delivered a head defeat over five furlongs on the main track when making all in a claiming contest here back in May. Sole start since then resulted in him fading in fourth having employed similar tactics in a five runner six furlong contest here last month. The return to this distance is a positive and he can provide the tracks top trainer Chris J Englehart with a victory.
2.37pm Finger Lakes (Race 4) – Uncle Ned 6/4
Has been running well in defeat in recent months placing on his two most recent starts at this track including when beaten half-a-length in a mile-and-seventy-yard claiming eventing here last month. Caught the eye in finishing well on that occasion and having performed well in stronger claiming races in the past, including when runner-up over this trip at Monmouth Park in early June he is taken to double his career tally with Andre Worrie taking the ride.
