1:20 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 2) – Krabi 7/5 (2-star play)

The daughter of Lookin At Lucky showed ability in her first two starts at this venue earlier this year including when four-and-a-half-lengths eighth over five-and-a-half-furlongs in a $50,000 maiden optional claiming race on debut in March. The filly has shown improved form over around a-mile-and-one-sixteenth in recent times however including when a neck second at this level last month and she looks up to going one better with the slight drop in distance no issue for Edwin Gonzalez’s mount here.

2:20 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 4) – Win Dixie Ronnie 5/2 (2-star play)

The three-year-old double her career tally when registering a three-quarters-of-a-length victory in a $12,500 claiming contest over this course and distance last month. The filly raced from the rear of mid-division in the early stages of that contest and was subsequently claimed by current connections. The pick comes here on the back of a 35.50 three furlong work here at the start of the month and is taken to follow up with Miguel A Vasquez retaining the ride.

2:50 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 5) – Nikee Kan 9/5 (2-star play)

The veteran campaign has finished on the board in four of her last five starts at this venue with the sole exception coming when fifth on turf back in May. The daughter of Kantharos showed good form when racing prominently prior to placing second, beaten two-and-a-half-lengths in a $20,000 claiming event over five-and-a-half-furlongs here in July and she is expected to prove hard to beat dropping back in distance for trainer Jose Francisco D’Angelo following a short break.

3:20 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Capture The Lion 9/5 (2-star play)

Trained by Mark Casse the gelding completed a double when returning from a break to deliver a one-and-a-quarter-length victory in an allowance optional claimer over five-and-a-half-furlongs here in July. Similar tactics were employed prior to being overhauled late on when half-a-length third over the same track and trip in a similar contest subsequently. The drop back in distance should prove no issue to the Uncaptured gelding who looks capable of recording his third win in five career starts.

4:20 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Honesto 5/2 (2-star play)

The five-year-old showed good form at this venue earlier this year including when registering a three-quarters-of-a-length victory in a $20,000 claiming contest over a mile-and-seventy-yards in April. The pick had previously failed to shine when jumping at big odds for an allowance optional claimer here. Given a break following his most recent victory the entire showed up well in the mornings in a couple of works last month and dropping in grade he selected to resume with a win.
