He had a subsequent winner back in 3rd that day and he is well drawn to employ similar tactics with regular jockey Frankie Pennington, who was on board for each of his last 12 starts, booked to ride the son of Weigelia. Trainer Robert E Reid Jr boasts a 23% strike-rate (38/168) at this meeting.
3:34 pm ET Parx (Race 8) – Remain Anonymous 2/1 (2-star play)
Remain Anonymous ended her time with Brad Cox with an impressive all-the-way win in a $32,000 claiming contest over 6 furlongs at Saratoga in July. A change of tactics saw her complete a double when ridden from off the pace prior to scoring by 5 3/4 lengths over 6 furlongs in the Dr. Teresa Garofalo Memorial Stakes at Parx in August.
She is capable of putting a below-par effort over this trip at Aqueduct subsequently behind her on her return to this venue.
4:01 pm ET Parx (Race 9) – Empty Tomb 2/1 (2-star play)
Empty Tomb demonstrated has good form in stakes company, including when runner-up in the mile and 1/8th Queens County Stakes, a Listed event at Aqueduct in December last year. His sole success in 3 starts this time around came over a mile and 1/16th in an allowance optional claimer at Delaware Park last month.
He looks up to delivering a victory today having drawn the rail following a fair 11 1/4-length 4th in the Grade 2 Kelso Handicap at Aqueduct at the end of last month.
