6:00 pm Hastings (Race 1) – Simply Stated 8/5 (2-star play)
The filly has shown good form at this track in four starts to date including when winning two of those efforts. The most recent of those two victories came when drawing 11 lengths clear of her seven rivals in a six furlong allowance contest here in June. The daughter of Warrior’s Reward has shown up well in the mornings of late and looks capable of completing a double with regular pilot David Corra booked to ride the three-year-old.
7:57 pm Hastings (Race 5) – Aristocat 9/5 (2-star play)
The four-year-old has shown good form in stronger contests including when winning a $12,500 claiming contest over a mile at Laurel in February. The selection changed trainers following that effort failing to score in three starts for Anthony Farrior. Owned by James Wolf, the gelding comes into this on the back of a five-and-a-half-length sixth in a $16,000 claiming race here last month and he is taken to register a fourth career win down markedly in grade.
8:26 pm Penn National (Race 6) – Uptown Seraphina 9/5 (2-star play)
The daughter of Uptowncharlybrown has shown ability in four of her five starts to date including when placing second twice. The three-year-old delivered a second place finish when racing close to the pace prior to suffering a half-length defeat in a $10,000 maiden claimer over five furlongs on a sloppy track here a month ago. Changed trainer following that effort and is taken to break her maiden on her first start for the T Bernard Houghton barn.
