6:04 pm Santa Anita (Race 5) – Neige Blanche 6/2 (2-star play)

Leonard Powell’s charge has shown good form in recent times winning three of her last four starts with two of those coming in 2022. Raced in fourth early prior to winning by one-and-a-quarter-lengths in the Grade 3 Santa Barbara Stakes over a mile-and-a-half at this track last month having previously finished third in a Grade 3 over this track and trip when racing from off the pace. Looks up to registering win number nine with regular jockey Juan Hernandez booked.

7:12 pm Santa Anita (Race 7) – Modus Operandi 4/1 (2-star play)

Shaped as if further would suit during his time in Ireland including when beaten a head over a mile-and-a-half in a Tipperary maiden in April last year. Failed to score since joining the Brendan Walsh barn but ran well for a long way when eighth in the Grade 3 Louisville Stakes over a mile-and-a-half at Churchill Downs last month. Dam performed well in the UK over this trip and the son of Frankel can deliver a victory upped in trip.

9:12 pm Santa Anita (Race 11) – Vanzzy 7/2 (2-star play)

Delivered a sixth career win when scoring by half-a-length having tracked the pace in an allowance optional claimer at this venue in March and came within half-a-length of recorded a Grade 3 triumph when runner-up in the San Francisco Mile Stakes at Golden Gate Fields the following month. Comes into this contest on the back of a good 1:00.20 five furlong work here last week and can help handler Dan Blacker improve on his 25% strike-rate (8/32) at this meeting.
