There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Thursday, including at Saratoga race track. Here are three runners who we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

2:15pm Saratoga (Race 3) – Mrs. Orb 6/5

Has finished on the board in each of her last eight starts, a run dating back to a second in the Critical Eye Stakes at Belmont Park in June last year. The daughter of Orb registered a half-length victory in the mile-and-one-sixteenth Caesar’s Wish Stakes at Pimlico early last month on her most recent outing and having won at this circuit in the past she is taken to provide trainer Michael Miceli with a stakes success in this competitive contest.

3:21pm Saratoga (Race 5) – Key Point 8/5

The unraced son of top sire Into Mischief looks capable of getting off the mark at the first time of asking in this maiden special weight contest over six furlongs. The selection has shown plenty of promise in the morning including when clocking a 48.01 for four furlongs when breezing from the gate here just under a month ago. Has a top jockey in Jose Ortiz up and can make a winning debut for handler Chad Brown.

6:13pm Saratoga (Race 10) – Amano 3/1

Showed plenty of ability in his five maiden special weight starts last year including when finishing third over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on turf at this track back in early September. Acquitted himself well when fifth upped to a mile-and-three-eighths at Belmont Park in October when last in action and with a number of registered works under his belt including a 50.04 four furlong breeze on dirt earlier this month he can make a winning seasonal debut dropping to maiden claiming company.
