There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Saratoga race track. Here are four runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

2:15 pm Saratoga (Race 3) – Step Dancer +200

Race 3 at Saratoga is the $150,000 New York Stallion Series Stakes for three-year-olds over a mile on the turf and this one can go to Step Dancer. Barclay Tagg’s colt won a Maiden Special Weight here on debut last year and has since won and been placed in Black Type events at Belmont Park. Connections have now decided to bring him back to the scene of his first triumph and I like his chances.

3:55 pm Saratoga (Race 6) – Pipeline +600

Chad Brown’s Pipeline began his career with two fifth placed efforts in Maiden Special Weights at Belmont Park and now switches to Saratoga for his third outing in the same grade and the change of scenery may just see him in the winners enclosure in Race 6. This colt went off a short price for both of those efforts and he wasn’t beaten far in either so, with this step up to a mile and an eighth expected to suit, he can go well.

5:05 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Noble Emotion +500

A hotly contested $103,000 Allowance contest is Race 8 at Saratoga and a case can be made for many but none more so than Noble Emotion who won over course and distance last season and has his ideal conditions once more. This son of Noble Mission has a good amount of ability as is shown with three wins so far and he won on his first start as a four-year-old last month so, with improvement expected from that, he should go very close in this contest.

5:39 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Bell’s The One +140

The penultimate race at Saratoga is the $200,000 Grade 2 Honorable Miss Handicap and the five-year-old mare Bell’s The One, who is top drawer on her day, can outclass her rivals over the six furlong trip. She is a fast late closer who has won eight races from eighteen career starts which include wins in a Grade 1, 2 and 3 so if she gets a fast pace to aim at here, which is likely, then nothing will be able to live with her late on.
