1:05 pm ET Saratoga (Race 1) – Im Just Kiddin 7/5 (2-star play)
Im Just Kiddin demonstrated plenty of ability when making her debut in a race over this trip on the main track at Saratoga last month. She raced in 3rd early on that day prior to going down by just a length in a 7-runner field.
The daughter of Justify switches to turf today and is selected to get off the mark at the second time of asking with Jose Ortiz, who rode John C Kimmel’s charge in her debut, again booked for the ride.
1:39 pm ET Saratoga (Race 2) – Run Up The Score 9/5 (2-star play)
Run Up The Score has finished on the board in each of her first 3 starts, including when 7 1/4 lengths 2nd in a maiden special weight over 6 furlongs at Churchill Downs on her penultimate outing.
She ran below that form when 6th over a mile on a sloppy track at Ellis Park subsequently and the drop to a maiden claimer and return to the forecast fast surface can see her break her maiden for trainer Chad Brown following a 50.46 4-furlong work on turf recently.
2:15 pm ET Saratoga (Race 3) – Ny Traffic 6/5 (2-star play)
The winner of 2 of his 4 starts this season, the son of Cross Traffic was completing a stakes race double when delivering a length victory in the 6-furlong Chocolate Town Stakes at Penn National in June.
He followed that up with a highly respectable 6-length 4th to top weight and the division leader Jackie’s Warrior in the Grade 1 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap over this track and trip and he looks up to returning to winning ways.
5:05 pm ET Saratoga (Race 8) – Bankit 9/5 (2-star play)
Bankit performed well in stakes company last year, including when delivering a wide-margin victory in the mile Cormorant Stakes on a muddy main track at Belmont Park. Had just 3 starts since that success in May 2021, but acquitted himself well when 6th in a big-field renewal of the Group 2 Godolphin Mile at Meydan in the UAE in March.
He has delivered some solid breezes in recent weeks and looks up to recording a second win at this track.
6:13 pm ET Saratoga (Race 10) – She’s A Mia 5/2 (2-star play)
She’s A Mia registered a 4th consecutive 2nd-place finish when beaten a head in the Suzi O’Cain Stakes over a mile and 1/16th on turf at this track last month. She raced from off the pace on that occasion having been bumped at the start.
Having recorded a career-best figure in that race, the daughter of Astern is selected to go one better back in an allowance contest with trainer Christophe Clement looking to improve on an 18% strike-rate (9/49) at this meeting.
