1:55 pm Saratoga (Race 5) – James Aloysius 2/1 (2-star play)

The colt has been in good form so far in 2023 following up a win in his season debut in a mile allowance optional claimer at Gulfstream Park in March with 2 on-the-board finishes including when placed third in a Listed stakes over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Monmouth Park in May. The More Than Ready colt delivered a fourth when beaten less than 2 lengths over the same trip here subsequently and he looks up to scoring upped in trip.

3:07 pm Saratoga (Race 7) – Elite Power 1/2 (3-star play)

Bill Mott’s inmate is unbeaten in each of his last 8 starts with those victories including a win in Saudi Arabia and 2 at the highest level. The second of those saw him triumph by a head in the Alfred G Vanderbilt Handicap over 6 furlongs on a sloppy track here at the end of last month. The 5-year-old has been in good form in the mornings since and looks capable of registering his third victory at this track.

4:55 pm Saratoga (Race 10) – Echo Zulu 7/5 (2-star play)

The daughter of Gun Runner suffered a defeat to Goodnight Olive in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint over this distance at Keeneland in November last year. However, she has been in great form since winning twice over 6 furlongs including when making all to score by a wide margin in the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Handicap over 6 furlongs here last month. Steve Asmussen’s filly looks the main pace angle in here and is taken to make all.

5:31 pm Saratoga (Race 11) – Stone Age 6/5 (2-star play)

The four-year-old son of Galileo showed good form last year including when two-and-a-quarter-lengths second in the Grade 1 breeders’ Cup Turf over a mile-and-a-half at Keeneland in early November. The colt has raced overseas in both subsequent appearances, including when well beaten in a Grade 1 event over the same trip in Qatar in February. He has shown up well in the mornings of late and can take this with Flavien Prat up for the first time.

6:11 pm Saratoga (Race 12) – Forte 7/5 (2-star play)

A three time Grade 1 winner at 2, Forte recorded his first victory at that level this time around when winning the Florida Derby over a mile-and-one-eighth at the start of April. A defeat in the mile-and-a-half Belmont Stakes followed, but the son of Violence returned to the winners’ enclosure when successful in the Grade 2 Jim Dandy on a sloppy track here last month. Looks capable of providing Todd Pletcher with his third win in the race.
