The MLB season has returned followed the all-star break, and we have another packed slate of baseball on Friday. There are a number of compelling matchups throughout the day from coast to coast. And what better way to celebrate a full slate of baseball than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay with a payout of nearly 9/1 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every MLB game today. Let’s get into our mega parlay for Friday.

Giants/Dodgers total under 7.5 (-105)

Mets -1.5 (+126)

Orioles first 5 innings ML (+122)

Parlay odds: +884

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

San Francisco Giants vs Los Angeles Dodgers under 7.5 (-105)

To start off this mega parlay, we are targeting the under in this Giants vs Dodgers contest. Logan Webb is starting for the visitors, and he’s been turning in his best performances of the season of late. The right-hander has lowered his ERA over 0.70 points over his last 10 starts, while putting up stellar efforts against the likes of the Padres, Braves and Brewers. Not only has Webb surrendered just 9 runs in his last 8 outings, but his track record against the Dodgers has been excellent. While he hasn’t faced LA this season, Webb dominated the Dodgers in 2021 and I expect that to continue on Friday.

Not to be outdone, Tyler Anderson has been very reliable this season for Los Angeles. Anderson has a 1.86 ERA in July while allowing just 4 runs in his last 20.0 innings pitched. The Giants lineup isn’t anything to write home about, especially away from home. I expect this rivalry matchup to be a pitchers’ duel throughout the contest. Therefore, backing the under is the recommended play.

New York Mets -1.5 (+126) over San Diego Padres

For our second leg, we have the New York Mets on the run line. The Mets are in a great position to start the second half strong against a reeling Padres team. San Diego has been in poor form recently, as the Padres have lost 11 of their past 17 games. To make matters worse, regression is coming for starter Yu Darvish. Despite his 3.41 ERA this season, the veteran right-hander has an ERA of over 4.00 in his last 4 starts while allowing 12 runs in that span. Darvish is not missing many bats lately, which will come into play against a Mets offense that is top 5 in baseball in OPS.

But it won’t be just the Mets offense that should have success against Darvish on Friday. Max Scherzer gets the ball at home for New York, and he’s been in a groove since returning from injury. Scherzer has 31 strikeouts in his last 19.1 IP, to go along with 3 wins and just 3 runs allowed in that span. I don’t expect the righty to have much trouble against a struggling Padres lineup at home. Look for the Mets to take an early lead and win comfortably.

Baltimore Orioles first 5 innings ML (+122) over New York Yankees

For the final leg of our parlay, we have the Orioles on the money line in the first 5 innings. This is purely a bet based on a bad scheduling spot for the Yankees. New York just had to play a day-night doubleheader against the Astros, and they’ll have less than 24 hours to travel and play Baltimore at Camden Yards. New York entered the all-star break on a bit of a slide, and its 2 losses to Houston on Thursday didn’t help matters. On the other side, the Orioles are playing their best baseball of the season and should be rested after the break.

Not only is it a bad scheduling spot for New York, but the starting pitching matchup is fairly even as well. Jameson Taillon gets the ball for the Yankees, while Tyler Wells will start for Baltimore. In fact, Taillon’s xBA, xSLG and whiff rate are all in the bottom 30 percent of qualified starters. On the other hand, Wells’ advanced metrics are further proof that his 3.31 ERA isn’t a fluke. Expect a slow start from the Yankees lineup in the first few innings, as they recover from the quick turnaround. I’d rather not have to worry about the bullpens in this one, so let’s back the Orioles to lead (or be tied) after 5 innings.
