MLB Friday parlay at mega +1128 odds today 9/9: Blue Jays win big

MLB parlay

We had a small slate of 7 games on Thursday, but luckily we’re back to a regular 15-game slate on Friday. Baseball starts in the afternoon and will continue throughout the night, and with such a large slate of games, we had to create a 3-team mega parlay. This parlay pays out at over 11/1 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook, so be sure to check this out.

But before we dive in, be sure to check out our MLB picks for every MLB side and total today.

Let’s get into our mega parlay for Friday and break down each of the legs one by one.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 over Texas Rangers (+105)

The Rangers went into their off day on Thursday after losing 10 of the previous 11 games. They were swept by Houston and Boston and now they face another AL East powerhouse in the form of the Blue Jays. At this point in the season, the Rangers have their focus on 2023 and can’t finish this season fast enough. To make matters worse for Texas, Dane Dunning will be on the mound on Friday.

Dunning was tagged for 5 runs and 8 hits in 4 innings to an unpredictable Red Sox lineup in his last outing and now has to face a Blue Jays offense that is far more balanced and powerful. Toronto will start Ross Stripling, who had an excellent August with a 1.96 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP. This should be a big win for the Blue Jays.

Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5 over Colorado Rockies (+155)

The Diamondbacks are kind of good right now. They’ve won 10 of their last 15 games, and their pitching has been incredible, headlined by Zac Gallen, but Merrill Kelly and Zach Davies have also been stellar. Even the Arizona offense was holding their own in August as they ranked 8th in OBP and 9th in OPS last month. They are constantly being undervalued because of their name, but they’re playing very good baseball recently.

Davies has a 3.27 ERA since the all-star break and has faced the Rockies twice, totaling 3 runs and 7 hits allowed in 10 innings. Opposing him will be German Marquez, who has a 6.09 ERA and a .308 BAA at home this season, so I’m confident the Diamondbacks will keep their hot hitting alive in the most hitter-friendly park in baseball.

Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins under 7 (+135)

Both Dylan Bundy and Cal Quantrill looked impressive in August, and I anticipate more success going forward. Bundy will face a Guardians lineup that made it very apparent their offense won’t be putting up softball numbers day in and day out by ranking 24th in OBP and 25th in OPS in August. Last month, they had their second-lowest team batting average in a month in 2022 (.241). Quantrill will face a Twins lineup that is battling to field a healthy 9 starters, and the Minnesota offense is well below average without Byron Buxton, Jorge Polanco, and Luis Arraez.

I’m confident that this game will have a low-scoring second half once both starters have left the game and the bullpens have taken over. With 1st-place finishes in both ERA and FIP in August, the Cleveland bullpen has established itself as one of the finest in baseball, and with Thursday being a rest day, every arm should be available. In August, Minnesota’s arm barn was 3rd in FIP and 9th in ERA. Expect a low-scoring game from the first pitch to the last.
