The 2021 MLB season kicked off over two months ago now, and the action has been jam-packed. Why not celebrate the small slate by going for a big payday on Thursday? That’s right, we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout just north of 12/1, and we’re counting on the Blue Jays to win big.

We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form.

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (+150)

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+135)

Oakland Athletics -1.5 (+130)

Parlay odds: +1251

Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (+150)

We’re starting this MLB mega parlay off in the early slate with the Phillies. One constant with Philly this season has been that they’ve played much better at home. They’re only 11-19 on the road, but 18-12 at home. The Phillies will start Zack Wheeler, who has been phenomenal with a 2.51 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. His ERA drops to 1.91 in seven starts at home.

Over his past four outings, he’s given up only six total earned runs while striking out 44. The Braves will start Ian Anderson, who has given up 21 baserunners and eight earned runs in 16 and 1/3 innings against the Phillies this year. They’ve hit him hard in two of his three starts against them. Atlanta has been a big disappointment this season, and they have the fifth-worst bullpen ERA in the majors.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+135)

The Blue Jays are often a good bet when Hyun-Jin Ryu is on the mound. Even after getting tagged by the Astros for six earned runs in his last start, his ERA is still only 3.23. Houston’s lineup is crushing just about everybody right now, so you can’t blame him too much. Over his previous four starts, Ryu had given up only five total runs. Not surprisingly, the Blue Jays had won five of his previous six outings. In only three of 11 outings has he given up more than two runs.

The Blue Jays just beat Chicago 6-2 on Wednesday, and they have the second-best OPS in the league behind only Houston. White Sox starter Dallas Keuchel has been a let-down this year, owning a middling 4.25 ERA. His last two starts have been against the lowly Tigers and Orioles, so this could come as a bit of a shock to his system.

Oakland Athletics -1.5 (+130)

To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got Oakland in the slate’s nightcap. The A’s are coming off a shutout win over Arizona, and have won six of their past seven. Each of those six wins came by at least three runs, so I feel pretty comfortable backing them -1.5. The Royals enter this one having lost five in a row, and their offense has been abysmal in that stretch. Kansas City starter Mike Minor has a 4.84 ERA, and gave up three home runs his last time out.

The A’s also have a big rest advantage, as they had an early day game at home against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Kansas City had a late game against the Angels, then had to hop on a plane to travel to Oakland. These teams aren’t particularly close at the moment, so I don’t see any reason why we should be getting this much plus-money.
