The week in Major League Baseball is continuing with a full 15-game slate on Tuesday. It includes 10 afternoon games; this is a holiday, after all. Orioles vs Yankees and Phillies vs Rays are among the headliners.

I cashed my last mega parlay at +1233 odds and the Pickswise team hit a +529 MLB parlay on Monday, so let’s keep the momentum going! Below are my plays for July 4, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks in addition to my MLB YRFI/NRFI best bets.

Cubs ML (+110)

Rays -1.5 (+145)

Angels -1.5 (+180)

MLB parlay odds: +1341

For this parlay, we are going with 1 favorite on the run line, 1 underdog on the money line and 1 underdog on the run line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Now you can bet on this MLB parlay at FanDuel Sportsbook, which has a great new-customer offer to take advantage of. If you sign up for FanDuel right now, you can get 10x your first bet — win or lose — up to $200. So bet $20, win $200! Click here to join FanDuel right now.

Chicago Cubs ML over Milwaukee Brewers (+110)

Kyle Hendricks is going for the Cubs and he has been impressive since returning to the rotation in late May, pitching to a 2.81 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. Of his last 6 starts, 4 have been quality and the only 2 that weren’t saw him work 5.0 innings on each occasion while giving up 1 run in the first one and 2 runs in the second one. In other words, Hendricks has pretty much been great every time has taken the mound. Wade Miley is a solid starter, as well, but his home ERA is six-tenths of a point higher at home than it is on the road (3.33 to 2.73). In what could be a low-scoring affair, Chicago has good value at plus-money odds.

Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 over Philadelphia Phillies (+145)

The Rays have been overtaken by the Braves as the best team in baseball, but they still lead the American League standings at 57-30. It isn’t close, either, with the Rangers 6 games back. Tampa Bay sends Zach Eflin to the mound on Tuesday and that is good news for the home team. He is 9-3 with a 3.29 ERA and 1.03 WHIP to go along with 91 strikeouts and only 15 walks through 90.1 innings this season. Philadelphia is countering with Aaron Nola, who has been unusually poor in 2023 with 4.51 ERA. The Phillies have a losing record on the road (22-23) and I expect them to fall today with a very difficult matchup on their hands.

LA Angels -1.5 over San Diego Padres (+180)

I really like this value with Shohei Ohtani on the mound. The Angels are 11-4 in their last 15 games started by Ohtani and 5 of their last 6 victories with him toeing the rubber have come by multiple runs. Over his past 3 outings, the right-hander has surrendered just 4 total runs in 19.1 innings of work. And, of course, that says nothing about what Ohtani has been doing at the plate. As it stands right now with the all-star break approaching, he has a very real chance to win the Triple Crown in the American League. The Halos haven’t been in good form of late, but luckily for them, the Padres have been terrible dating back to June 20. San Diego is 4-10 in its last 14 games and 2-7 in its last 9.
