The MLB trade deadline has passed and the dog days of August are here. With that comes another full slate of baseball from coast to coast on Wednesday. And what better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay with a payout of over 10/1 at FanDuel Sportsbook

Let’s get into our mega parlay for Wednesday.

LA Dodgers -1.5 (+110)

Miami Marlins -1.5 (+105)

Philadelphia Phillies first 5 innings run line -0.5 (+155)

Best parlay odds: +1008 at FanDuel Sportsbook

Odds available at time of publishing.

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Philadelphia Phillies -0.5 first 5 run line (+155) over Atlanta Braves

For the final leg of our mega parlay, we are going with the Phillies to win the first 5 innings. Philadelphia has fought its way into the final Wild Card spot and will need to produce against tougher competition if it wants to stay there. Luckily for the Phillies, they’ll have the edge on the mound on Wednesday as Zack Wheeler takes the hill. The Phillies ace has thrown 6 innings in 8 of his last 10 starts, and holds a 2.77 ERA this season. Wheeler has allowed 2 runs or less in all but one of those outings, as he typically puts his team in position to win.

The same can’t exactly be said for Charlie Morton on the other side. The veteran right-hander holds a 4.34 ERA on the year, and he’s been very up-and-down to this point. Morton surrendered 5 runs in his last start against Philadelphia, while surrendering 6 hits. I don’t trust the Phillies bullpen, but they should be able to hold a lead through the first 5 innings of this contest.

Miami Marlins -1.5 (+105) over Cincinnati Reds

For our next leg, we are going with the Marlins on the run line. The Marlins typically wouldn’t be a team I’d be looking to back on the run line. However, Sandy Alcantara will get the start for Miami on Wednesday. Alcantara is the favorite to win the Cy Young at the moment, and he’s coming off allowing 4 earned runs in his last outing. This was rare for Alcantara, as he hasn’t allowed more than 3 runs in a start since his season debut on May 1. Needless to say, I believe the Marlins ace will bounce back in this one. The Reds lineup is nothing to write home about, and Alcantara should have his way from the first pitch.

Alcantara has been the model of consistency this season. The Miami ace has pitched at least 6 innings in 9 of his last 10 starts and has a 1.99 ERA. Cincinnati will counter with Mike Minor, who has been extremely inconsistent to the tune of a 6.31 ERA. The Marlins offense should give Alcantara what he needs for a comfortable win.

Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (+110) over San Francisco Giants

To start off this mega parlay, we’re going with the Dodgers on the run line. Los Angeles continues to find ways to win games, and that didn’t change in this series. The Dodgers are getting clutch hitting up-and-down the lineup, alongside strong starting pitching and a rock-solid bullpen. More often than not, the Dodgers find a way to keep tallying victories. And when they do win, they typically take care of business by more than 1 run. Backing the Dodgers on the run line continues to be profitable, especially when Julio Urias is on the hill.

Urias is 10-6 with a 2.71 ERA this year, and the lefty is now 7-0 since suffering his last defeat. Additionally, he will be going up against a struggling Giants lineup that he’s had success against, including a win on July 23. As long as the Dodgers offense keeps producing at this level, they should be able to keep the line moving against their rivals. Back the Dodgers to win convincingly in this NL West matchup.
