Last night the Boston Celtics were involved in an incredibly tense showdown with the Minnesota Timberwolves, coming out on top at home. Things will not get much easier for them tonight as they visit the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks have been in indifferent form, with a 5-5 record over the last 10 games. They will see this as a great chance to take advantage of a tired foe.
You can check out all of our NBA picks for tonight’s games, but for now let’s jump into my Celtics vs Bucks Same Game Parlay.
Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 8+ assists (+200)
Damian Lillard 4+ 3s made (+100)
Jaylen Brown 6+ rebounds (+100)
Parlay odds: +886
Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 8+ assists (+200)
Antetokounmpo has continued his impressive recent streaks of assists with another 11 dimes in his last outing against the Utah Jazz. It marked the 3rd time over the last 7 games in which he has managed at least 8, coming just 1 short in another contest. Against a Celtics team that does not have a natural matchup for him that can both handle his athleticism and physicality, he is likely to see plenty of help defenders coming his way. Considering the Bucks are 3rd in true shooting percentage this season, his teammates should be well positioned here to convert these chances. With the Celtics being on the second night of a back-to-back after being in overtime last night, look for their defensive rotations and close outs to be slow. Antetokounmpo will probably be able to exploit this.
Damian Lillard 4+ 3s made (+100)
Bucks guard Damian Lillard has been going through a shooting slump of late, with no more than 2 made 3-pointers in any of his last 5 games. He is, however, averaging 7.8 attempts per game so far this month. Lillard also attempted 10 shots from deep the last time the sides faced off. With that in mind, it feels like it is only a matter of time until he has a bounce back game and I expect that to be tonight. Playing against a fatigued opponent and with Antetokounmpo drawing so much attention, he should have time and space to fire away. Lillard is also a considerably better shooter at home than on the road, making 37% of his attempts as opposed to 32.5%. If he is anywhere near that on Thursday it should be enough to hit this part of the parlay.
Jaylen Brown 6+ rebounds (+100)
Jaylen Brown is coming into tonight’s matchup after his best rebounding performance of the season. He will look to follow up the 11 boards he pulled down against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Like the Timberwolves, the Bucks have a lot of size on the inside with Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez. It should force guards like Brown to drop back into the paint and help close out defensive possessions. Both teams tonight are also in the top 10 this season in 3-point attempts per game. That should lead to increased long rebound opportunities on both sides of the floor for the guards. With the Bucks also being 4th in pace this season, it will likely lead to an increased number of shots for Brown to chase down.
