With the series tied at 2-2, the winner of Game 5 goes on to advance to the NBA finals 82% of the time which means tonight’s game is a big one between the Celtics and Heat. Can Miami bounce back after scoring just 82 points? Or will the Celtics win their 2nd in a row?

After almost landing last night’s 1st basket bet at +390 odds in the Warriors vs Mavericks game, I am going at it tonight with the Celtics and Heat. We’ve had a few pretty big winners on this bet at Pickswise recently, perhaps we can keep the momentum going? Our 2-leg +5500 parlay winner featured Kyrie Irving and Anthony Edwards. We’ve also landed a Donovan Mitchell bet twice, Mikal Bridges, Joel Embiid and Desmond Bane once. Last night I had Luka Doncic to score the 1st basket in Game 4 of Warriors vs Mavericks, but unfortunately he couldn’t convert on his shot, so hopefully luck is on our side tonight.

Celtics vs Heat first basket best bet: Jaylen Brown +400

Despite Miami winning the opening tip in Game 4 it was the Celtics who got the first basket. Derrick White stepped up and actually made the first 3 baskets from the field as the Celtics took off scoring the first 18 of 19 points in the game. As for who wins tonight’s tip, that is never easy to predict. Bam has the edge over Robert Williams III 3-2 so far this season. However there is a question mark surrounding Williams and whether or not he will play. If he doesn’t play, then it’ll be Al Horford vs Adebayo and Big Al holds a 2-1 lead in jumps this season. The two teams have exchanged winners of jump balls over the past 4 games, so it’s Boston’s turn to win the ball tonight.

Out of Boston’s last 10 games, Jaylen Brown has scored the 1st basket 4 times which is a good indicator for where they might go tonight, especially with both Marcus Smart and Derrick White being questionable to even play. The shooting-guard position has made 30% of 1st baskets for Boston this entire season, while the center position is at 25% for 2nd most.

Miami’s backcourt is really struggling with injuries right now. Players like Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, P.J. Tucker and Kyle Lowry are all banged up and nowhere near 100%, so that is definitely something Brown can take advantage of right from the start of this game. He has been very active early on in games in this series, attempting a shot in the opening first 2 minutes of 3 of the 4 games so far. In Game 4, he didn’t have the best of performances scoring just 12 points on a sub-par 5-for-20 shooting night, so I am expecting him to be a lot more aggressive tonight.
