We are on to Game 3s in the second round of the NBA playoffs. You may be expecting to see Celtics vs Bucks and Grizzlies vs Warriors on Friday night, but that won’t be the case. Those series have three full days off in between games, so the Heat, 76ers, Suns and Mavericks will getting right back in action after playing their Game 2s on Wednesday.

Let’s take a look at our next mega parlay for the playoffs.

76ers -9.5 (+300)

Suns vs Mavericks over 229.5 (+210)

Parlay odds: +1140

For this parlay we are going with one underdog on an alternate spread and an over play on an alternate number. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Philadelphia 76ers -9.5 over Miami Heat (+300)

The Heat are the better team in this series (especially when the 76ers don’t have Joel Embiid) and they know it. In fact, they know it so well that they could get lulled to sleep following a pair of easy home wins to begin this best-of-7 set. Unless Joel Embiid comes back and immediately starts playing at an MVP level, Miami is going to advance whether it wins on Friday or not.

For Philadelphia, this is obviously a must-win situation. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit and the 76ers certainly should not be the first one to do so. They can, however, win on Friday. Tyrese Maxey is coming off a 34-point performance in Game 2, so he will be playing with a ton of confidence. The Heat were 5 games worse on the road than at home during the regular season and they lost Game 3 at Atlanta in round one after taking the first two at home. There is also at least some chance that Embiid could be back for this one. Either way, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Philly win big at home.

Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks over 229.5 (+210)

The Suns and Mavericks are scoring in bunches, which is not at all surprising. Also not surprising is that the market has adjusted to that scoring binge. The total was 214.5 in the series opener and 216 for Game 2. Now it’s set at 220 for Friday’s contest. The good news for bettors is that despite the shift, it’s still not enough of one.

I really don’t think there is much risk in playing this all the way up to 229.5 – a number you can get at +210 odds. With the way Phoenix is putting the ball in the basket, you have to feel good about the chances of another high-scoring affair between these Western Conference foes. The Suns have scored 121 and 129 points in this series and they have finished with at least 112 points in each of their last 5 wins. Chris Paul produced 28 points in Game 2 after going 14-for-14 from the floor for 33 points in the first-round clincher over New Orleans. He has scored at least 19 points in 4 straight games and at least 16 in 8 of the last 9. Dallas is averaging 111.5 ppg through 2 games against Phoenix, even though Jalen Brunson has been a non-factor. Count on Brunson bouncing back at home and both teams scoring in bunches on Friday.
