It’s a massive night in Los Angeles as the Lakers and Clippers square off for the 3rd time this season. LeBron and company won the first 2 meetings by an average of just 4 points, so we could be in for another thriller at Crypto.com Arena. Tip-off is at 10:00 pm ET with the game airing live on TNT, right after the New York clash between the Knicks and Nets. I’ve prepared a Lakers vs Clippers Same Game Parlay for the Battle of LA game, but for individual predictions for Tuesday’s 5-game slate, check out our NBA picks.

Russell Westbrook over 11.5 points (-108)

Austin Reaves to score 20+ points (+170)

D’Angelo Russell 2+ made threes (-370)

Same Game Parlay odds: +472

Russell Westbrook over 11.5 points (-108)

Russ was instrumental in the Clippers’ 11-point win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. The Clips were down by as many as 18 points in that game, but under the leadership of Westbrook, who had a season-high 23 points off the bench, they were able to overturn the game in their favor and cover as 10.5-point favorites. Although he’s playing just 20.5 minutes a night over his last 10 games, he’s still averaging double-digit points during that stretch and has surpassed this total in 3 of his last 4 games. Against the team that blamed him for everything bad that’s happened to them and then traded him away, Westbrook should be extra motivated. He’s averaging 15.5 points in 2 meetings against the Lakers this season, and in those games his average minutes increased to 31.5 per game. Even as a 35-year-old, he is showing no signs of slowing down, so I expect Russ to be more active here than he usually is.

Austin Reaves to score 20+ points (+170)

With the news that LeBron James will be out of this game, the Lakers will have to figure out ways to replace his 24.8 points per game. One solution would be to get Austin Reaves more involved. He has shown he’s more than capable of putting up numbers in the past, but lately he just hasn’t been getting the opportunities to shine. His attempts are down from 12.1 per game in December to just 9.6 per game in January, but despite that he’s averaging 54.2% efficiency from the field and 14.7 points per game. Lately, it’s been D’Angelo Russell stealing the spotlight by putting up numbers, so Reaves could go under the radar a bit here. He did have a 20-point game against the Clippers in May of last year, so let’s hope he can replicate that performance here.

D’Angelo Russell 2+ made threes (-370)

There are a lot of trade rumors surrounding D’Angelo Russell at the moment, but whatever the Lakers are doing in their last 6 or so games, it’s benefitting him greatly. The talented point guard has shot 50% or better in 5 of those games while averaging 25.8 points per game. He’s cleared this line in all 6 outings, even going for 6 threes twice against the Blazers and Jazz. With the Clippers allowing opponents to shoot 43.4% from downtown in their last 3 games, I think Russell can drain a pair without any issues.

Russell has had some pretty solid games against the Lakers’ cross-town rivals, averaging 21.8 points per game in the last 5 meetings and making at least 2 threes in 4 of those games. With the Clippers being without Zubac the tempo of their games has increased greatly, so this should be a high-scoring game and hopefully Russell continues his hot shooting form.
