For the first time since 2020 and the bubble, the Lakers have a chance to move on to the Western Conference Finals. Can they do it or will the Warriors stave off elimination? Tip-off is at 10:00 pm ET on TNT and I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay which you can find below.

Over 226 points (-108)

Game 4 was the lowest-scoring game of the series so far with just 205 points scored. With the series moving back to the Chase Center I believe we will see a much faster tempo than in the previous 2 games. The Warriors have scored 112 and 127 points in their first 2 home games, and they’ll probably opt to play a faster tempo tonight, similar to what they did in Game 2, when they won by 27. Klay Thompson needs to do better than the 9 points he had on Monday, I’m also expecting some kind of contribution from Jordan Poole. For a player who has signed a contract worth over $100m it’s unacceptable to score 0 points in a postseason game. At 103.6 possessions per game, Golden State plays the fastest pace at home in these playoffs. The Lakers are 5th in pace on the road and with basically no pressure on them to win this game they can relax and play a free-flowing game on offense. With the over cashing in 5 of the last 6 meetings at Chase Center, I think that’s a solid bet for Game 5 as well.

Klay Thompson to score 25+ points (+135)

To say that Klay Thompson has been disappointing over the last 2 games of this series would be an understatement. After coming up big in Games 1 and 2 with 25 and 30 points, he shot just 35% and 27% in the last 2 games, scoring 15 and 9 points. Not only that, he took just 11 shots in Game 4 and a couple of ill-advised ones towards the end of the game which had head coach Steve Kerr scratching his head on the baseline. Game 5 is all about making amends. He’s much better than he has shown so far and the Warriors will need someone else besides Steph Curry to step up if they want to keep their season alive. Despite the slump in the past 2 games, Thompson is still making 5 threes per game in this series on 44.4% efficiency. Look for him to go off tonight, similarly to what he did in Game 2, when he had 30 points in just 31 minutes of action.

Dennis Schroder to score 10+ points (+110)

Although Lonnie Walker IV got most of the praise for the win in Game 4, Dennis Schroder also deserved a lot of credit as he finished with the best +/- number for the game at +14. He has steadily put together a solid series, averaging 11.3 points per game off the bench and clearing this line in 3 of the 4 games. His series-high came in Game 1 at Chase Center with 19 points and during the regular season he played the Warriors 3 times, averaging 16.7 points per game, so something is clearly working in his favor on offense against them. I’m expecting Golden State to come out with a lot of aggression, so if we see the Lakers fall behind big early in the game that would most likely mean more minutes for the bench unit as there’s no point in chasing the score when you have Game 6 coming up in 2 days at home. D’Angelo Russell had an off night with just 4 points in Game 4, so hopefully Schroder will get another opportunity to play a lot of minutes tonight.
