Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA play-ins started off last night with the Golden State Warriors being knocked out and the New Orleans Pelicans being pushed to the brink of elimination. Tonight it is the turn of the Eastern Conference with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat looking to secure their playoff berth. Meanwhile the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks will be looking to stave off elimination. So let’s dive straight into my Heat vs 76ers same game parlay below.

Tyrese Maxey over 24.5 points (-113)

Tyler Herro over 2.5 made threes (-136)

Joel Embiid over 1.5 made threes (-104)

Same Game Parlay odds: +484

Tyrese Maxey over 24.5 points (-113)

Over 4 regular season games Tyrese Maxey had been able to average 27.3 points against the Miami Heat. With him looking to play a major role on offense tonight, do not expect that to drop off here. The Heat do have a good rim protector in Bam Adebayo, but Embiid’s presence should keep him more than occupied. His direct matchup will also be Terry Rozier tonight. While he once had developed a reputation as a lockdown defender when he was part of the Celtics, he only ranks 18th in defensive rating. That is out of a list of 21 players who took to the floor for the Miami Heat this season. I do not suspect the Heat will be able to keep him from getting to the rim. The fact that he makes 3 3-pointers per game on 37.3% shooting this season is icing on top of a cake here.

Tyler Herro over 2.5 made threes (-136)

While his success has been a little limited, Tyler Herro has not shied away from letting the ball go from deep against the 76ers. Over 2 contests he as put up 19 3-pointers. Considering he is making 39.6% of his 3-point attempts this season, that sort of volume should start to yield results sooner rather than later. Rozier and Jimmy Butler will also be able to do more of the ball handling tonight, leaving Herro to a bigger role as a catch and shoot option. There is also the presence of Embiid under the basket, acting as a deterrent for Herro to drive to the rim. Look for this over to hit as a result.

Joel Embiid over 1.5 made threes (-104)

Since coming back from injury and playing 5 games in April, Joel Embiid has not shied away from taking 3-pointers. His 5.4 attempts per night are his highest mark of any month this season. He is knocking them down too, hitting multiple 3-pointers in 4 of those games, on 48.1% shooting. With that sort of recent form, look for him to test the waters early, to see if he is still feeling it. If either of the first 2 shots drop, I easily see him attempting at least 6 from beyond the arc. In his sole game against the Heat this he did just that, knocking down 3 of those shots in the process.
