Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Milwaukee Bucks suffered yet another defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers last night. They should, however, get a chance to bounce straight back against a San Antonio Spurs team that has lost 8 of its last 10. While perhaps not the most competitive game on paper, it will be a spectacle to watch. That is because it will be the first meeting between Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Both players have incredibly mobility and skill for their size; I for one cannot wait to see who prevails.

You can check out our NBA picks., as well, but for now let’s jump into my Bucks vs Spurs Same Game Parlay.

Victor Wembanyama to score 20+ points (+105)

Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 10+ assists (+410)

Same Game Parlay odds: +730

Victor Wembanyama to score 20+ points (+105)

Rookie Victor Wembanyama seems to be rediscovering his form of late. The #1 overall pick has recorded 3 straight games of at least 20 points while shooting at least 50% from the field in the process. He should be set to continue that run tonight against at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Frenchman has been enjoying playing in front of a home crowd this season, with his points per game average increasing to 19.9 in those games.

This one should be played at a very high speed, with the teams ranking 1st and 2nd in pace over the last 10 games. Not only will it give Wembanyama opportunities to attack in transition, where his length makes him incredibly hard to stop, but is should also create more possessions for both sides. With the Bucks defense not blowing anyone away during that stretch, ranking 15th in defensive rating, the Spurs should have success converting. The Bucks are on the second night of a back-to-back, so defensive effort could suffer further. I’m backing the rookie to exploit that on Thursday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to record 10+ assists (+410)

In December, Giannis Antetokpounmpo started to take the playmaking mantle for the Bucks. He averaged 6.8 assists per game, the same as Damian Lillard during that stretch. The former MVP has recorded a total of 19 assists in the first 2 games of 2024 to just 10 from Lillard. It points to a shift in the team, with the point guard assuming a bigger role as an off the ball scorer. If the first meeting between the Bucks and Spurs this season is anything to go by, we should see this fact magnified tonight.

In that first game Antetokounmpo recorded a season-high 16 assists and Lillard went off for 40 points, knocking down 7 of his 12 3-point attempts. The Spurs are likely to struggle coping with the Greek Freak’s physicality on the inside, requiring them to send double-teams his way or Wembanyama over as a help defender. It should allow him to be a playmaker once more, hitting open teammates on the perimeter. With the pace of this game, there will be plenty of opportunities to do just that. While he might not get 16 again, recent form from Antetokounmpo makes 10 assists a great value addition.
