Two NBA Western Conference rivals go head-to-head tonight at Chase Center as the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Golden State Warriors. Tip-off is at 8:30 pm ET on ABC, I’ve prepared a Pelicans vs Warriors Same Game Parlay to spice things up a little. You can also check out our NBA picks for Wednesday’s biggest matchups across the 10-game slate, but for now, let’s get into my SGP picks.

Under 233 points (-110)

C.J. McCollum over 3.5 made threes (+100)

Stephen Curry to record 6+ assists (-180)

Same Game Parlay odds: +472

Under 233 points (-110)

You know what’s been the number-one catalyst behind the recent success of the New Orleans Pelicans? Defense. This team has really stepped it up on that side of the basketball, and in their last 10 games the Pels own the best defensive rating in the league while also playing at the slowest pace in the entire NBA. The under has cashed in 4 of their last 6 games and they’re also 6-12 on the O/U in their last 18 against Western Conference opponents.

The Warriors have also slowed things down a bit in their last 10 games, averaging just 98.77 possessions per game. They just lost Chris Paul to an injury, so the playmaking will take a hit in this matchup. These 2 teams are averaging only 219.9 points per game over the last 10 meetings, with the under cashing 7 times during that stretch. In their 5 most recent meetings, the under has hit 4 times and I’m confident in backing it again.

C.J. McCollum over 3.5 made threes (+100)

Unlike his teammate Brandon Ingram, who is off to a somewhat modest start to 2024, C.J. McCollum has been cooking ever since the turn of the new year. So far in January, he’s averaging 57.6% makes from downtown and has also cleared this line in 6 games in a row. He is also making an average of 2.8 threes per game in the last 5 meetings with the Warriors on a respectable 39% efficiency. The Pelicans could once again be without Zion Williamson here, and if that is the case it will be up to either Ingram or McCollum to lead the way scoring-wise. I’m sticking with one of the most efficient shooters in the NBA right now.

Stephen Curry to record 6+ assists (-180)

To wrap up this Same Game Parlay, I have Stephen Curry to notch at least 6 assists. Steph’s shooting has been up and down lately, so I’m more comfortable backing him to get the assists here, especially since CP3 went down with a broken hand that will keep him out for a while. Curry has cleared this line 4 times in his last 5 games, and with Paul’s 7.2 assists per game no longer being there, I think Curry’s numbers will go up a bit as he is the main playmaker on this team.

As good as the Pelicans defense has been lately, for the season they still rank only 18th in opponent assists per game, allowing 26.9 per contest. On the road, that number jumps up to 27.6 per game, so let’s hope Curry can make the most of it. Steph has been nothing but sensational in the last 10 meetings with the Pelicans, averaging 31.5 points and 6.1 assists during that stretch. Count on Steph to bring it home.
